Best Cabin Camping near Odessa, TX

Cabin accommodations near Odessa include four primary options: Midessa Oil Patch RV Park, KOA Kampgrounds of America, Park Place RV, and Mesquite Oasis RV Park. Each location provides basic cabin rentals with electricity and water hookups. The cabins typically feature standard amenities like beds, air conditioning, and access to shared bathroom facilities. "The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful," notes one visitor about Midessa Oil Patch RV Park. Most cabins are situated in established campgrounds with full RV hookups, offering a more comfortable alternative to tent camping while maintaining the campground experience.

Rustic and deluxe cabins are both available, depending on the location. Park Place RV provides the newest facilities in the area with "beautiful shower facilities" according to camper reviews. Most cabins require advance reservations, especially during peak oil field activity periods when accommodations fill with workers. Pet policies vary by location, with Midessa Oil Patch RV Park, KOA, Park Place RV, and Mesquite Oasis all allowing pets in designated cabin units. Proximity to Interstate 20 means convenient access but also potential highway noise, as several reviewers have noted.

Most cabins include beds but require visitors to bring their own linens, towels, and toiletries. Kitchen facilities are limited in most units, so guests should plan accordingly for meals. On-site laundry is available at several locations, with Park Place RV offering "lots of washer and dryers" according to visitor feedback. The Midessa Oil Patch RV Park features an on-site market for basic supplies, while others require a short drive into Odessa or Midland for groceries and camping needs. Summer temperatures regularly exceed 100°F, making cabins with air conditioning particularly valuable during warmer months.

    KOA Kampgrounds of America

Clean showers, laundry too. Campsite is cramped though.

We came here as it was late I’m the day and we had nowhere to stay for the night. This KOA had plenty of spots and some laundry machines and shower which was awesome.

It’s like a typical RV park, very close quarters. The facilities are clean, and it has a dog park too.

The site is right off of the highway and has plenty of traffic, so be prepared for lots of noise around. $40/night is what we paid.

    Midessa Oil Patch RV Park

    Looks rough but friendly

Park itself looks a little rough, and is close to the highway and railroad. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Maintenence helped my partner with our tail lights and refused pay. $40 for a pull through and full hookups. Cheap laundry.

    Mesquite Oasis RV Park

No shaded area, a bit pricey for what you get

$50 a night with full hookup, but a little pricey in my opinion for what you get. No shaded area. Does have a pool and laundry area. Roses BBQ within 6 minutes away was good. Site was pull through. There are long term campers.

    KOA Kampgrounds of America

    Only if you are desperate.

Located next to I 20 so get used to lots of truck noise all night long. For some reason even though this is located in the desert, it is covered with mosquitos. Very hot in summer and windy in spring. Smells like oilfield. This is currently probably going to be full with oilfield workers. Has a swimming pool.

This is no longer a KOA. The RV park is called Midessa RV Park

This is a decent RV park there a lot of full timers here because of the oil industry but it is clean.

    Midessa Oil Patch RV Park

Nice staff however lots are small and cramped

Not bad for just an overnight stay, however the lots are small. Had a back-in site. Staff escorted me to the site and helped me back in (which was very nice), however was right by the road. The main part of the park looked very nice, but this was like the overflows area.

    Midessa Oil Patch RV Park

    Beyond friendly and welcoming

It used to be an old KOA, but it’s super nice & clean & friendly. it looks like there are people that live there or stay there for awhile, but it doesn’t bother me. Everything seemed clean. I showed up to after hours checkin & the fact there was spots on a map marked that was open, was convenient. I did call earlier in the day & the lady who answered on may 11, 2021 was sooo sweet & beyond nice. I would definitely have stayed here longer if I wasn’t just passing by. & would definitely stay here again. We’re having truck problems & making our way home & my boyfriend asked the lady at the front desk what she thinks the easiest way home was & she kindly helped us to the easiest way to Oklahoma then how to get to Chicago. Had to problems (:
