Black Hills National Forest's ponderosa pines frame this dispersed pullout on NFS Road 425 near Highway 244, within easy reach of Mount Rushmore and Sylvan Lake. The open clearing accommodates several vans or small rigs, and road noise from nearby SD 244 fades considerably after dark. Fires are not permitted under USFS rules here; campers must remain within 300 feet of the forest road.
