The Ray Benson Sno-Park provides access to multiple ski and snowmobile trails on the Willamette National Forest as well as ski and snowmobile trails on the Deschutes National Forest. The trail systems access three warming shelters on the Deschutes National Forest ; Brandenburg Butte, Island Junction and North Blowout. Facilities: * Two restrooms * Warming hut * Orientation maps * Staging area with snub posts for sled dogs Concessions and telephone are located nearby at Hoodoo Ski Area.

Directions

From McKenzie Bridge, OR, drive 38 miles northeast on Highway 126 to Santiam Pass. Turn right to go south on Forest Road 2690 towards Hoodoo Ski area. Past Hoodoo Ski area, turn left east on Forest Road 920 into Ray Benson Sno-Park.

Noisy big clean level asphalt

Summertime, A bit noisy from the ORV rallying till about 10pm then starting by 8am again. But that’s what it’s for... as well as a quick place to crash for the night. Good Stargazing.
