Best RV Parks & Resorts near Brothers, OR

Several RV parks surround Brothers, Oregon, providing convenient bases for motorhome travelers exploring Central Oregon. Deschutes County Expo RV Park in Redmond features level concrete pads with full hookups including 50-amp service, making it particularly big rig friendly. Crook County RV Park in Prineville operates year-round with spacious sites that accommodate large rigs and offers full hookup RV sites with both 30 and 50-amp electrical connections. The Waterin' Hole RV Park provides more basic amenities with 30-amp hookups and sanitary dump facilities. Crown Villa RV Resort in Bend caters to luxury RV camping with paved sites and complete hookups. "Very clean state park campground with paved sites, bench and fire pit. Most full hookup sites seemed easy to maneuver with RV/trailer. We had 30' TT and had no issues," noted one traveler about nearby Tumalo State Park.

Seasonal considerations affect RV camping availability throughout the region. While many parks like Deschutes County Expo RV Park operate year-round, Cascade Meadows RV Resort in La Pine is only open from April 15 to October 15. Cell service varies between locations, with most parks near Bend and Redmond offering reliable connectivity. Dump stations are available at most established RV parks, though Christmas Valley Camping and RV Park provides more limited facilities. One visitor to Deschutes County Expo noted, "The west side of the park has the better spots with plenty of room for a big rig or 5th wheel and parking for a car or large pick up. The east side is much tighter." Pets are welcome at virtually all RV campgrounds in the area, though specific restrictions may apply. Advance reservations are strongly recommended during summer months when parks frequently reach capacity.

    East Lake Campground

A great camping spot by the lake.

Our first time here at East Lake Campground in the last week of September 2023 just 1 day before the park closed for the season. Because East Lake Campground is 6500 feet in elevation the nights were very cold, from 44 to 31 degrees but normally the days were in the morning windy and about 62*. The camp has 29 sites and NO hookups.

There is flush toilets, NO showers, but had drinking water. East Lake also had 1 boat launch but the water was very low, some 40' down from the edge of the bank to the water. Great fishing and a great place for kayaks. Each site has a picnic table and fireplace. Most Sites on the lake side has pull-thru that were about 50' long. Some back-in sites were only 35'. Very quite campground and not too close to each others camp site. We camped at East Lake Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Restrooms Flush toilets, faucet water. No hookups, No electric, No water hookup, No sewer hookup. You can fill your water tank FREE at the ($10) Dump Station so you don't have the weight in your rig. Dog-friendliness Lots of space to run and play.

    Deschute County Expo RV Park

    Good stopover spot

Very clean park. They were about half full when we were there and the noise level was very low. Not much of a long term spot, lots of movement in and out.

Showers and bathrooms were very clean and the sites we're very big. Lots of pull through spots. Good Verizon signal.

    Thousand Trails Bend-Sunriver

    Beautiful location

Beautiful location with good sized camping spots for travel trailers and RVs. Almost all spots are wooded so shade is plentiful for hot Summer afternoons. Safe for bike rides in park with 5mph posted. Great location for easy access to Sunriver and Bend. Paulina Lake and East Lake are within a 30 minute drive for kayaking, fishing and hiking.

Electric (30 amp) and water at all spots. No sewer hookups. Internet works fairly well. Good cell phone reception for Verizon and ATT.

Facilities are decent, but need some care. Neither the pool nor laundry were available and no work is active to open either. Staff are friendly but management seems to be focused elsewhere.

    Deschute County Expo RV Park

    Nice Fairground Campground

Our GPS and Waze wanted to take us to the Fair& Expo main gate, but we followed the website instructions to the RV park portion of the fairgrounds adjacent to the Juniper Golf Course. Check-in was quick and easy. We proceeded to pull through site B-1 with FHUs for our two-night stay. The fairgrounds have nice cement sites to include a spot to park your tow vehicle or toad. Utilities are placed in the back center of the pad. The water pressure was good at about 50 psi. We got 4 bars on Verizon and the Wifi was above average for a park this size, i.e. you can check email and surf but not stream. There are no trees around the sites, so no issues with satellite. The sites in the B loop and this CG in general are close together. It was a pleasant surprise to find that they have a laundry, which is located in the office building where you register. There are also restrooms and showers there as well. As we were in site B-1 near the RV park entrance, we took our dog for walks to the left where there were trails into the adjacent state land(identified by a sign on a tree). The site had a picnic table and nice little standup grill. We enjoyed our stay at this CG.

    The Camp

    Awesome Urban camping experience

My wife and I are working remotely and exploring the PNW, and certain amenities are important: full hook up for our trailer, pet friendly, laundry, WiFi, and good location. The Camp HAS it ALL. Located in Bend, close to a Safeway grocery store, Walgreens, Starbucks and Dutch & Bros plus a lot of other places...easy drive to the freeways so you can go explore around. We’ve met a few people that are regulars there and they love it. We loved it too and will be back when in the area. Tyler, the manager is great, cool guy, knows all the details of the trailers and he can tell you a bit about Bend and about things to do since he is local. He takes good care of the place! The Camp is a small campground and very cozy. It has vintage trailers for people to rent as well as a tiny house plus full hook up sites. They also have a common area with gas grills (2), a gas fire pit with blankets available, two tables with umbrellas and chairs, great laundry facility, awesome bathrooms (individual toilette, sink and shower, 4-5 hooks, which is great so you can hang your stuff. Pass code needed for bathrooms and laundry rooms. There is a gated pet area which is great for the dogs to be off leash for a bit (kinda of hidden by the office). They have trash and recycle, which is great. We’ve seen half and half in terms of campgrounds that recycle vs those who don’t. We wish they all had a recycle option and The Camp had glass, plastic, paper, can recycle. The sites are very close to one another and there are not mature trees but you are in the city so that’s expected. While there we went on a cool drive and stopped to see the sea of lava...we are still talking about it...those lavas have been there for over 1,500 years...it is amazing and picturesque. After stopping at the sea of lava, we went to Dee Wright Observatory, walked to the top and enjoyed the beautiful view, then continued on our scenic drive to the proxy falls. It was an easy 1.25 mile (round trip) hike. It was raining so it was a bit muddy and slippery in certain areas but super fun (we had our two dogs with us and we were fine), people were doing the hike with their kids-so good for families too. We loved it. While in Bend, we went to a park in town, which was cute and people were walking around, laying in the grass, paddle Bording, kayaking and we also saw some people getting into the river on a raft. Lots to do in Bend...scenic drives, hiking, mountain biking, road biking, river water rafting, etc. This is a super cool campground, well maintained, super clean and it even has a hair salon in an air stream! This place has personality! We loved it and will be back.

    Scandia RV Park

    Great location

We got very lucky and walked in with no reservation. The host was so nice and gave us one of the 2 remaining although the sign said full. Pull through spots with lots of grass. Bathrooms and free showers. Full hookups. Picnic tables but no fire pits(hence the 4 star instead of 5). Perfect location to explore DT Bend!!

    Deschute County Expo RV Park

    Clean level concrete pads

This is a fairground site that is very nice, not your typical fairgrounds site. It has paved roads and concrete level pads with full hookups. Close to;the town of Redmond and Bend. No trees or grass and sites are fairly close. Clean bathrooms and showers. Big rig friendly

    Deschute County Expo RV Park

    Good place to stay

We stayed here twice with a short gap between our 2 times. Comfortable park, very clean. Big rig friendly especially in the center areas without trees. If you're using Starlink this would be a good choice. Able to do laundry both times we stayed (credit card instead of quarters!). Full hook ups (we paid $50 per night).  Good location for visiting Redmond and Bend.

    Crook County RV Park

    Very comfortable

The campground was very nice. Stayed for one night in a full hook up site for $45. All of the lots were paved and kind of level. It was quiet for such a full area with some long term campers and a few families staying and very friendly. There is a full restroom with showers that were open! Very clean

Across the street is a family park with a children’s fishing pond that is stocked with rainbow trout for anyone 17 and under. Will definitely come back here again

Guide to Brothers

RV camping near Brothers, Oregon offers convenient accommodations within driving distance of Central Oregon's recreational opportunities. This high desert region sits at approximately 4,200 feet elevation with annual precipitation averaging less than 10 inches. Summer temperatures typically reach 85°F during daytime with nighttime lows dropping to 40°F, making seasonal preparation essential for campers.

What to do

Fishing opportunities: Nearby Prineville offers a dedicated children's fishing pond at Rimrock Park. "Across the street is a family park with a children's fishing pond that is stocked with rainbow trout for anyone 17 and under," notes a visitor to Crook County RV Park.

Frisbee golf courses: Multiple courses available near camping areas provide free recreational options. "We went to a park in town, which was cute and people were walking around, laying in the grass, paddle Bording, kayaking and we also saw some people getting into the river on a raft," reports one camper who stayed at The Camp.

Scenic drives: Volcanic features create unique day trip opportunities. "While there we went on a cool drive and stopped to see the sea of lava...we are still talking about it...those lavas have been there for over 1,500 years...it is amazing and picturesque. After stopping at the sea of lava, we went to Dee Wright Observatory."

What campers like

Clean facilities: Consistently mentioned across reviews for various campgrounds. "This is a very peaceful campsite, with tall ponderosa pines everywhere. There are some nice amenities as well and you arent too far from town," according to a guest at Crown Villa RV Resort.

Level camping sites: Many parks provide well-maintained concrete pads. "With over a hundred concrete spaces, each with a grill, picnic table, water, sewer, and electric. But there's more! Fantastic showers, laundry and friendly staff," explains a visitor at Deschute County Expo RV Park.

Proximity to attractions: Central location provides access to multiple recreation areas. "Close to Sunriver (~10 min) and Bend (~20 min) making an afternoon in town, a river float, or snagging groceries easy," writes a camper at Thousand Trails Bend-Sunriver.

What you should know

Seasonal availability: Several parks close during winter months. "We stayed here for 8 days. Nice Bathrooms and showers. Laundry was clean and reasonably priced. The one thing that you should be aware of, is there a is very little shade," notes a visitor to Cascade Meadows RV Resort.

Price variations: RV accommodations range from budget to luxury pricing. "First let us say that this is a very nice RV Park. However, and a BIG however, is that there is no justification for the $117 per night price tag for a paved, full hook up site."

Limited amenities at remote locations: Facilities become more basic farther from population centers. "Along the Oregon Outback cycling route, there are few options for anything but rugged bush camping in this area. The roads are dusty and the scenery beautiful."

Tips for camping with families

Kid-friendly activities: Several parks offer dedicated recreational facilities. "My kids are helping us out with reviews for parks. Kids loved Sunriver-Bend Thousand Trails because there is bunnies, bullfrogs, mini-golf, a great little river to float on or swim in, ladderball, bingo, movies outside, and some pretty great pools!"

Spacing considerations: Campsite arrangements vary significantly between parks. "The individual sites are pretty spacious and have a decent amount of trees. The pools were under construction so the kiddos were disappointed."

Weather preparedness: Temperature swings require appropriate clothing and gear. "Weather was sunny upper 80's, the nights low 40's. This is a very quite campground, there was no noise from main road entering the campground."

Tips from RVers

Electric service details: Availability of 30-amp versus 50-amp connections varies. "$35 a night with a 30 amp shore power. No bathroom, but a rather nasty porta-potty. The bar serves bar food and cold drinks. Simple solutions, never a bad thing," reports a visitor to The Waterin' Hole RV Park.

Site selection strategies: Different sections within parks offer varying experiences. "Getting here is a challenge but follow the camps directions, NOT Apple or Google (low bridge) but once here - it's worth it. Spacious shaded paved sites, lots of amenities including a free coffee bar."

Laundry facility access: Available at many but not all locations. "Bring quarters if you plan to wash laundry because they don't take debit cards and there isn't a change machine. Overall we enjoyed our 6-day stay."
