Per the Willamette Forest Order, effective 7/31/24: fire restrictions are in effect that prohibit the building, maintaining, attending or using a fire, campfire or stove fire, including a charcoal, wood, or coal fire. However, pressurized liquid or gas stoves, lanterns, and heaters that can be switched on and off are allowed. For a full list of restrictions and exemptions, please review the Forest Order .
Blue Pool, near Oakridge, Oregon, is a serene campground that invites you to unwind amidst nature's beauty. With spacious sites and a peaceful atmosphere, it's an ideal spot for both tent and RV camping, allowing you to soak in the sights and sounds of the surrounding forest.
This campground is known for its proximity to stunning hiking trails and a lovely swimming hole, perfect for a refreshing dip on a warm day. Visitors have praised the roomy campsites, with one camper noting, “Great place to relax, enjoy hiking trails, nap to the sound of the river.” Just keep in mind that there’s no running water available, so plan to bring your own or fill up from the nearby creek.
The area is surrounded by picturesque views, with the nearby Salt Creek providing a beautiful backdrop for your camping experience. While some campers mentioned the occasional noise from the highway and train, many found it manageable, especially for those who sleep soundly. If you're looking for a quiet getaway where you can connect with nature, Blue Pool is definitely worth a visit.

Overview
This 24-site campground is conveniently located adjacent to Oregon State Highway 58 in an old growth forest alongside Salt Creek. Fishing and swimming are popular activities. A large picnic area along the creek offers picnic tables, a large grassy area for both passive and active recreation. One-half mile east of the campground on Highway 58 is the McCredie Day Use Area & Hot Springs. The site was formally developed as a hot springs resort historically; currently the hot springs area is unimproved. Caution should be exercised when using the hot springs, water temperature is very high in the pools.
