Border Inn Casino & RV Park

Where US Highway 50 crosses the Nevada-Utah border, Border Inn Casino & RV Park provides full-hookup camping for RVs up to 45 feet. The campground sits alongside a combination casino, restaurant, and fuel station complex, with gravel sites that accommodate both overnight travelers and permanent residents.

Most sites include 50-amp electric service, water, and sewer connections, plus a picnic table and medium-sized tree for shade. The restrooms receive regular maintenance, with one reviewer noting they were "extremely clean, which surprised me for some reason." Cell coverage varies by carrier, though AT&T users report decent 5G service with speeds around 7 MB/s. The facility includes two EV charging stations and laundry facilities.

The campground functions primarily as a waypoint for travelers on Highway 50, often called the "Loneliest Road in America." Ray & Terri F. found it convenient for "waiting for a package to be delivered to the Baker Post Office" during a five-day stay. The on-site restaurant serves breakfast burritos and hot food until around 9:30 PM.

Great Basin National Park sits 5 miles away, making this a practical base for park visits. Tent campers can secure spots behind the trees for $5, with 24-hour access to the store and restrooms.

Campers regularly cited the friendly staff and clean facilities as major positives. Sites offer level ground with hookups, though some found the overall park basic. The location provides convenient access to Great Basin NP.

Close to Great Basin

We checked in with a wonderful lady, the site is simple. Full services and a nice picnic table next to our site. We used the laundry room, which smelled funny, but we got our laundry cleaned! We also had a chicken sandwich at the casino restaurant which was good. This is a very isolated campground, but perfect for visiting the National Park.

Panoramic Views

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Restrooms extremely clean, which surprised me for some reason. The park is located along side the casino-store-cafe-motel-bar. EV charging station on site. Very close to Great Basin NP, the reason for our visit. The park itself it nothing special, full hook ups on stone lots, some with shade. The views and night sky make it a special place. Laundry also available.

A nice, clean, well maintained CG

We are full-timers in a 36 ft Class A with a Cherokee Trailhawk tow. We stayed in site 11 for 5 days in early June, waiting for a package to be delivered to the Baker Post Office. The CG has 50A service with FHUs, sites are pretty level and most have a medium tree and picnic table. There were only a handful of other RVs here during our stay, but there were several permanent residents here as well. Most people only overnight here on their travels east or west along the“Loneliest Road in America”. The staff was friendly and helpful. It’s in a convenient location for visiting Great Basin NP. They also have 2 EV charging stations. The restaurant makes a pretty good breakfast burrito too. If you have a dog, there is a long gravel road leading out from the back to walk it. AT&T coverage was good, with 2 bars of 5G and speeds up to 7 MB/s. We had access all 3 western DISH satellites and Starlink had speeds up to 12 MB/s.

Hotel California at Halloween-time

TL:DR: $5 tent sites available, 24/7 gas station store w. Bathroom, fairly clean. Serves hot food until 9:30ish, close to Great Basin NP. 88 miles to next services to the east.

We were on our way to Great Basin after leaving Yellowstone early this morning. We filled up gas in Nephi, Utah and then cut west on a dark desert highway. We went (according to the sign) 88 miles feeling the cool wind in our hair between "services" before seeing the shimmering light up ahead in the distance. Our heads grew heavy and our sight grew dim, so we had to stop for the night. We pulled in at about 9pm local time and saw, much to our surprise, that the gas station store was advertising being open 24/7! Our tired and hungry selves walked inside where several very nice locals were manning the store. We thought to ourselves "this could be heaven or this could be hell." Turned out to be heaven, as they had hot food and plenty of room for us to pitch a tent. $5 fee for a guaranteed spot "behind the trees next to the spools." Most of the land nearby is BLM, so $5 for access to a store and bathroom is not too bad, though you can technically sleep across the street for free. No apparent need to stab any beasts with steely knives, and come morning we were able to check out and leave.
