Accessible via a 7-mile drive from Sheridan, this 10-site Forest Service campground sits along Mill Creek in the Tobacco Root Mountains. The road extends one mile past the forest boundary to reach the main camping area, with additional primitive sites scattered along the access route.
Large fir and pine trees provide substantial shade across the developed sites. Each spot includes a picnic table, fire ring, and parking space large enough for two vehicles. Two vault toilets and hand pump wells serve the campground, while a group fire ring with benches sits between sites two and three. Bear-proof food lockers are provided, as grizzly bears inhabit the area and require proper food storage in vehicles or lockers. For additional options, see campgrounds around Sheridan.
