Backcountry camping requires a hike or walk to reach these remote sites within Superior National Forest. Campers must carry all gear to their chosen spot, as vehicle access ends at designated parking areas. The Forest Service provides basic toilets and drinking water, though the wilderness setting means limited infrastructure overall.
One recent visitor noted the challenge of finding adequate firewood and the complete absence of cell service, emphasizing the truly remote nature of these sites. Food storage requires proper techniques, including rope systems to secure provisions from wildlife. For those seeking additional forest camping experiences, campgrounds around Superior National Forest offer various access levels and amenities. Pets are not permitted at this location.
