Fall camping is great
If you can make it their Halloween season is awesome. It usually lasts every weekend through October. Lots of activities for the kids.

Overall we had a wonderful stay. The campground is huge and I suggest renting a golf cart (if you don't have one) to unlock the full potential of the grounds.
It was bike week so the campground was a bit more lively than we anticipated but that was more on us for not double checking the events calendar. All the bikers and their families were solid people. One guy even let my son borrow his fishing rod and bait the one evening and just told us to return it after we were done.
It was off season so the waterpark was closed and things were winding down. We knew that to be the case so no knock there. We keep busy on our golf cart rental taking scenic drives, heading to the pier to crab and fish, and a few spirited games of ice hockey in the arcade.
The campground is at a great location to either head towards Assateague Island or Ocean City. We normally stay in Ocean City over the summer in July so we chose to explore more of the Assateague side. With that said, Route 611 has a lot to offer if you have the time to explore.
Assateague Surf Shop - amazing breakfast
Sinepuxent Brewing - great beer and smoked pull pork
The Shrimp Boat - tasty seafood takeout
Assateague Island State Park - beautiful beach and park
My only major con was the trash removal at 5 or 6AM!! It sounded like the trash truck and dumpster were inside our camper. I think that only occurred 2 mornings but it was more than enough. - minus a half star
Also the pricing is a bit outrageous. For all the work you put into set up and prep just to pay close to what you would for a mid level hotel stay is kinda insane. Stayed from Thursday to Monday and it was right around or above the $500 mark for ONLY electric and water hookups. - minus a half star
Overall we had a very enjoyable time as a family and that was the goal.
There is a lot to do the water park is good and the lazy river is nice and big the Wild West shows are great. It’s a bit expensive but all in all it’s a great place for family that just wants to get way for a few days
Great for the kids always something to do
Sites are somewhat close together but this is not a "camping" campground. There is plenty to do here with the water park, playgrounds, and Western theme areas. Also close to the Beach and boardwalk. Check your calendars though. We stayed during OC bike week and it was loud! Our fault for not checking the calendar
Love this place been coming here since 1983. brought my kids here and now they bring there's here also. Great times plenty to do people very nice. love the west4rn town wiht Johnny and Amy at the Indian village and the water parks. easy to get to and from and closer to The OC Boardwalk.
First time staying there, everyone that worked their was very nice and helpful as were the other campers. Very close to Assateague and Ocean city and plenty for kids to do
This vacation beach RV park is super fun for the kids. They have old time plays, skits, and activities. The ability to rent golf carts is a super cool bonus especially to get the surroundings. I stayed in a large cabin with another family. The cabin was very nice western themed. There is a camp store that is slightly pricey, but expected, a saloon, an ice cream shoppe, an AWESOME waterpark, and the theme park. The waterpark is simple and not grandiose but so. much. fun. This is such a fun stop!
Great park, awesome amenities. Would definitely go back. Price is not cheap but the amenities make it worth it. Can’t wait until the zip lining courses are back open. Stupid COVID!
Bugs were crazy bad in the dog park and the moisture rich tent areas. Bring bug spray or a flame thrower.
Unfortunately, we booked the same week Tropical storm Isaias blew up the coast. We had to move our camper to escape the storm surge but were able to get right back the same day as the surge moved out quickly. We will definitely be back again next year. Good camp store, lots to do for the kids here, then the Assateague Island and Ocean City are a short drive. If you decide to rent a golf cart (needed) book it at the same time that you reserve your camp spot. Very hard to get one other wise.
We stayed during the Covid 19. Most of their attractions were obviously closed, but the pool was open. Golf cart rentals were available, and the staff responsible was very friendly and helpful. Park Security was present and checking regularly. The rates for this facility continue year after year to climb, as they continue expanding to make more sites. It is a great park...off season. but over priced and they pack you in like sardines. It is very tight making you feel like you are right on top of neighbors. Kids love the pool and playgrounds.
Super fun for kids with water park and Wild West show. Some sites aren’t the best but we got lucky
Campground is busy with a lot of people driving golf carts that shouldn’t be. But, aside from that, it’s really a lot of fun. Wild west show, water park, huge store, excellent ice cream shop, jet skis, boat launch are all at the campground. There’s also a shuttle to the boardwalk and a very short drive to all the restaurants and attractions in the area including the wild ponies on Assateague island. We have been there for the last 2 years and have next year booked already.
Title says it all! Great location, the friendliest and most helpful staff, beautiful surroundings, lots to do, kid and pet friendly
This was a great campground when I was a kid. But the sites need updating as they are very small, hard to negotiate a modest sized modern camper into, and the campground floods easily following a heavy rain. The water park is lots of fun and though you are close to ocean city you really have no need to leave the park with all the entertaining events they have.
The best campground I've been to. Super friendly and helpful people, large sites which are easy to back into. Good cell coverage, reasonable WiFi. Tons of activities!
We camped at Frontier Town 3 years ago on a weeknight in August and had a great experience. Camp sites aren’t isolated or private, but the water park admission for free, closeness to ocean city, and other on site amenities are phenomenal. We camped again during Memorial Day weekend in 2019 and had a very troubling experience - the neighbors were loud and rude staying up all hours using foul language and smoking. Also, the bathroom facilities had to be constantly cleaned due to people clogging toilets, putting toilet paper all over the floor, and getting dirt and water everywhere. I apologized to the poor cleaning ladies whenever I saw them for the rudeness of the campers. So disappointing! We probably won’t camp there again unless smoking and noise restrictions are put in place. The free water park admission is somewhat worth it still as we have 3 kids. Would have to heavily consider a potentially horrible repeat.
Advice, go during a weekday when it may not be as crowded and hope and pray your neighbors are polite and the bathrooms are treated properly!
Lots to do on site: waterpark, mini golf, kayaking, playground, pool, activities. Shuttle to Ocean City, MD was convenient and general store was close by and stocked well! Sites are a little close together, especially if you have an RV but great 1st time experience with our kids at a young age!
This campground is very family friendly. There is so much to do. If you do go make sure you go for a week so you can try to do it all. Very calm and and relaxing.
this was my first time there in over 20 years. it had changed so much. the sites were awesome. Clean shower houses all day long. lots of activities for the kids and the water park was amazing. best part was that even though it was hot the breeze off the bay made it so much nicer.
Due to the location near Ocean City, this campground is primarily a resort for people staying 1 or more weeks. I was very out of place with just my little backpacker tent, next to the well-equipped sites around me. Even in the primitive sites, most groups had multiple tents, awnings, cloth lines, and toys for the kids.
This is a very family-oriented camp. In addition to the moderately sized water park, which is included in the price, there is a schedule of activities for kids. The entire camp is full of kids tearing around on bikes from sunup to sundown.
But, after dark, the camp was pretty quiet. No problems with my neighbors making noise or anything.
Nice place to stay.
this is the best camp ground I've ever been to , I've been going here since I was 4 years old (I'm now 18 ) and have enjoyed every minute of it there is so much to do so many things to see it's amazing
I camped here a few years ago, you are parking on grass and when it rains it’s all mud, but I must say if you have little kids this is the place to go! they have a water park and shows, your kids won’t want to leave!
Has waterpark, putt putt golf, pools, allows pets. Also has Wild West Show and Ice Cream Parlor. Very enjoyable campground for the whole family. Pavilion offers crafts and DJ nights.
This campground is the best campground I've seen for kids. They have a water park that is included in your stay. The activities are great and your only minutes away from ocean city or Assateague State Par. Where the ponies run wild. Very clean bath houses and the staff are the best around. They also have a wild West show , zip lines , mini golf , ice cream shop all this cost extra but worth it. They also have a pool for just the campground. That doesn't get as crowded as the water park. Very nice park to go to. We make sure to go there every year.
Very large campground with a lot of different activities. Waterpark just had a major facelift this year. As did mini golf. The waterpark and. Most camp sites are very far. Would suggest bikes or maybe renting a golf cart while there. Or you could always hop in your car or truck and drive up. I will return when time allows.
My parents took us here for years. Now we take our kids. Located about 15 min from ocean city and assateague with a shuttle to take you when you don't want to drive. Great family activities. We love the water park and Frontier town. I recommend it to anyone looking for a new place to check out.
