Coos Canyon

Campground is quite nice, near the canyon. Stayed in lower campground. Roads are very rough so difficult to drive on, at night the grounds are totally pitch dark and far from bathhouse. There is one outhouse available to use as well. Firewood is expensive at $8, and no it's not more wood than we've…

Wonderful Campground!

Papoose is a great campground. They have basically any time of site you could ever want, from tent only sites, to rentable cabins (multiple sizes) to cottages. I always stay at an HHK site - this has it's own personal bathroom with shower, and an outdoor stovetop and sink. It's great to have…

Cathedral Pines is claimed to be one of the most beautiful campgrounds by people all around the country. The space between the sites, mountain views, an campground in high demand. Very kid friendly. An abundance of outdoor activities right out your door. Highly recommend!!!!

Best managed campground!

I have stayed in many many campgrounds, but this was far and away the best run place I have ever visited. The owner, Mo, is amazing and is friendly and runs a quiet, clean and easygoing campground. Bathrooms are spacious and spotless. We got lots of great recommendations for hikes and swimming…

What camping in a campground should be!

We loved this place! Jeff, Cheri and Autumn, the owners for the last 3 years, are terrific people who LOVE THEIR campground and it shows! They are happy to stop and share information on whatever you want to talk about. They place has a wonderful energy about it. The Coos Canyon is adjacent to…

Great Campground, Very Clean

We had a great experience at this campground, the sites were fairly private and very well maintained. The bathrooms were well maintained and kept very clean. As a hammock camper, some of the sites had plenty of spots, while only 1 or 2 of the sites had no convenient places to hang hammocks.

I had…

A throwback campground

Truly nice folks who built this campground 39 years ago, still run it. Well maintained and full of nice folks. Mostly rv camping with some tent sites. A lot of seasonal rv occupants. Great for families with children but nice for all folks. Two bath areas and a laundry room. Free baths and…

Quaint camping

Small campground, 15 sites. You'd be happy to stay here. Fairly private, well maintained sites with a clean bathhouse. Some intriguing hiking and natural beauty sites nearby. Mo the owner is very knowledgeable of the area and a great hostess. I stayed here due to it's proximity to the AT but it…

Pleasantly surprised!

Our campsite was very easy to back up our pop up camper. A Gentle little stream encompassed the site and the sound of Coos Canyon Falls nearby lulled us to sleep at night. This is a campground that is perfect for people who use four wheelers/ side by sides. Many trails to explore as well as many…

Loud, needs a lot of work, nice location

The campground was very loud - lots of music, yelling, just loud. There is garbage everywhere - like bags of it on the deck of the "camp store" that doesn't appear to be used anymore. And junk all over. The bathrooms were cleanish. Everything was nicely mowed. It was twice as expensive as most…

Sitenot sure. kindof informal
