Adequate for a quiet night with full hook-ups

We stayed here 1 night in mid-October, 2024. Bulletin board directed us to our reserved site. never saw any of the staff and received our welcome email at 9 a.m. the next day as we were departing. Poor trees are half dead. Stay was OK except for the racket from a neighboring property with massive loudspeakers blasting reveille in the a.m. and an annoying, caterwauling rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner at sunset. Nutty Arco.

    Disappointing and " unique"

We arrived with a reservation for a rental RV, smooth and friendly check-in. But then... Small site, no shade at all. Nicely flat though. Firepit/BBQ filled with cigarettes, non-usable. Pool was as small as can be, 10 pax= overcrowded. Toilets and showers outdated, broken and terribly dirty. The neighbour will play a loud national anthem at 9 p.m. and an even louder reveille at 9 a.m. One can see as far as possible, but the scenery consists of old trailers and mess.

Pro's: The showers were for free and nicely warm. 4 washing machines ($1,75 half an hour) 4 dryers ($1,50 half an hour) Free wafles and coffee between 9a.m. and 10 a.m. Friendly staff.

Overall: nearly good enough for a one night stay. Never saw something like this before.

    First family vacation gone wrong

For our family's first vacation in our new travel trailer, we foolishly chose to visit the KOA campground in Arco, Idaho. We had informed them of our late arrival around 11 PM. Upon arrival, they handed us a map and pointed to a campsite number. None of the spots were properly marked, but surrounded by other trailers, we assumed we were in the right place. The next morning, we discovered the bathrooms were absolutely revolting, clearly not cleaned for days, despite a sign claiming daily cleaning. Mud on the floors, mold and mildew in the showers, overflowing trash, and toilet paper strewn about—it was utterly disgusting. When we returned later that day, a staff member immediately confronted us, accusing us of lacking a reservation. We provided the requested documentation, and they disappeared. Then the owner or manager approached us aggressively, violently pointing out our supposed error on the map and ordering us to move everything to the correct spot—right behind where we had parked, already occupied by another family they had mistakenly placed. In a menacing tone, he begrudgingly decided to relocate the incoming family to our original spot. This whole scene unfolded in front of numerous families at the KOA, with no regard for our embarrassment or the other campers' discomfort. After this disgraceful ordeal, we decided to just pack up and leave, not even bothering to request a refund. As we were packing, the manager approached, still not apologizing, but handed me a receipt for a refund that I never asked for nor wanted. I informed him firmly that this was not about money but about their appalling mismanagement. I intend to dispute the refund because this KOA should not be associated with such incompetence and filth and I will not accept hush money.

    Nice quiet camping

Stopped at Craters of the Moon on our trip home from Mt Rainer. It’s not a large campground, and it off the main road. A little hard to find. (Behind Pickle’s Place). Convent to Craters of the Moon !

    Quiet spot near Ketchum

This is a fee based campground with a host that offers a first come first serve camping experience. We got in late in the day and were happy to find a spot. The ground was a bit limited for tent camping but we ended with a great location near moving water. The sound of water created a very serene environment for rest. The real treat came when we saw the beauty of the night sky unencumbered by city lights; the Milky Way was on full display.

    Home Away From Home

We stayed at this campsite for five nights and we're very happy with the accommodations. The site is very clean, including the laundry facilities. Super, super friendly staff made us feel welcome and comfortable during our stay. Staying at this campsite made it really easy to explore the Craters Of The Moon National Park, the ghost towns, and historical interests in the area. Fabulous large off leash dog area available. Big or small travelers fit well at this campsite!

Quiet, pastoral campground with large, well spaced sites and a great restaurant !

Mt. View is in the small city of Arco ID, close to Craters of the Moon National monument. Reserving space was easy on line and making a change to our reservation was easy via email. The park has lots o trees and the sites are roomy. The owners are friendly and helpful. 24 hour laundry is available. The restaurant serves delicious BBQ, southern style in a small, homey setting.

    Easy check in, nice amenities

My first KOA stop didn’t disappoint. Bathrooms were great - individual rooms with toilet and shower for excellent privacy. They all kind of smelled like cat littler which was a little strange, but otherwise they were clean and sufficient. Hookups worked great. Check-in after hours was a breeze, they left me a packet with my name and site info on it. They also provided text messaging support before and during our stay. Would stay here again. The only negative was that the sites were very close to each other, not a lot of privacy, but we were just passing through for one night. Also, this place is a haven for birds. If you hate the sound of birds chirping, you may not like this campground. I’ve never seen so many birds and bird nests! So cute.

    It’s alright

It’s nice except for the fact it backs up to a literal junk yard. The showers are great and the staff were amazing but meh. But it’s close to the falls and you can take a drive to balanced rock.

It is well kept and the deluxe sites have a nice BBQ, slide love seat, and fire pit. It is a bit cold to use any of them this time of year, but it is still nice.

    Nice KOA campground

We like staying here while traveling through Idaho. It’s a short drive to Craters of the Moon National Monument, and Arco, Idaho is a neat little town. The Showers and Laundry facilities at this park were not used by us during this visit. Staff was very friendly during the check in process. There is limited shade in the park.

Fall asleep to the sounds of the river

Murdock campground has been lovely. There are 11 spots each with a picnic table, partial shade, and fire ring. There are two pit toilets and drinking water that is ice cold coming out of the tap. The camp hosts have been absolutely wonderful. The only downside is that the air quality is pretty bad due to fires in the surrounding areas.

Great spot for short term or longer

The sites are very wide and spacious with grass in between. Full service. Very good cell phone service. The bathrooms are spotless and very large. The showers are about 5 ft by 5 ft! The owners are very friendly and accommodating. They run a great little restaurant right on the site with fantastic ribs!

    Friendly and Clean

Everything worked quite well, my pool Throughs and the areas were relatively flat. We had no problems with water pressure, no problems with electricity. The only thing I would point out is that if you are on the last row, that makes you closest to the highway and you will hear the highway noise starting at about 5:30 in the morning. Otherwise, a great and friendly KOA with a very nice pool.

Not enough restrooms, 3 o’clock check in

Park is well kept, WiFi is good. Bathroom were new and clean but with a full park there was a wait for a bathroom in the morning. I’m giving lower rating to all parks that have a 3 Pm checkin, particularly with am 11 check out.

    Roomy Sites, typical KOA

The Rv spots were pretty roomy. There’re gravel and pretty level. WiFi is hit and miss, pretty typical for a Koa. Rest rooms are dated but clean but also heavily used when I was here from big tent groups. It’s pretty dusty but that’s a function of the location. Very convenient to Craters of the Moon.

Best sunset, baby dog loving, atv life, quit

I love this place I was a little stressed out because I was driving quite a distance and wasn't sure if I was gonna make the cut off time but I did and they were supernice superfriendly dog friendly AC units the only thing is it took a while for the room to cool down it would have been cool if they were able to set that air conditioner about an hour before arrival but no biggie it's just right in the heart of ATV central the reservoir only downside is there's no real espresso coffee shop if you're from Washington you know you know But highly recommend I would stay here again for sure.

    Fun holiday camping

Great little campground with full hook ups, 30 or 50 Amp. Spaces for tent camping up to Class A motor homes. Several pull through spots, a few back in spots. The campground is well maintained and had friendly staff. Amenities included showers, restrooms, laundry, small store that sells firewood and propane among other necessities, ice cream social (for a donation) in the evening, free waffle breakfast in the morning, pet friendly with dog park, playground, and pool (although not super warm). Good activities in the area if you enjoy the high desert. We stayed on 4th of July weekend and even with a full park it didn't feel crowded.

    Beautiful Park

Beautiful city park that offers free dry camping. They only ask for a donation. Tree’d grassy park with picnic tables & fire pits at each site. Beautiful views of the mountains. Had 2 deer meander through the campground in the morning! A family reunion had the main park/campground reserved for the weekend but they had an overflow area that was just as beautiful minus the trees. But each site still had fire pits and picnic tables. Would absolutely recommend this campground & stay there again. Wish more towns offered something like this!

Great way to explore Twin Falls

The campsite is right off the high way for super easy access. It’s a small campground with dirt roads and I thought the sites were a bit average. We stayed there overnight so it didn’t bother me. People looking for longer stays might pick somewhere else.
