    Coastal GA RV Resort

    Nice, clean

    Friendly staff. Easy check in. Very clean park. Sites aren’t really big, but are separated by bushes, trees so provides some privacy. They are very pet friendly. We travel with a dog and they have a dog park. It’s not big (for larger dogs) and it would be nicer with a different surface (stone or chips) as it had really muddy areas. And of course there are always those pet owners who don’t bother to pick up there dog’s poop. So not the fault of the campground. Another camper told me they are adding a doggie grooming daycare facility. Which would be great to be able to leave your dog for the day while site seeing . Restrooms very clean. Nice showers. Doors locked and keyed with code. ice machine (free!) Didn’t use the laundry room but poked my head in and it was clean, all top loading washers. Great area to walk (like a boardwalk) around the pond. Close to stores, islands, restaurants. We would stop again for a few nights if traveling thru that area again. Restful and felt safe.

    Okefenokee Pastimes Cabins and Campground

    Quiet, close to okefenokee wildlife refuge

    Located right across George Highway 23 from the entrance to the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge, this is easy access to the facilities at the refuge. Most sites are full hook up, several are pull through. There is a laundry, showers, a dog park, camp store and restaurant. This is a Good Sam park !

    Pebble Hill RV Resort

    Not Quite A Resort, But Pretty Close!

    I must admit, the concept of an RV Resort is lost on me, but that said, if I was looking for an RV Resort to spend the night(or a handful) than Pebble Hill RV Resort, located in the SE corner of Georgia, certainly ticks a number of boxes. At first glance, you would spy this RV campground and consider it to be, well, just like most of the rest– complete with 20/ 30/ 50 electrical amp and water hook-ups, slanted pull-through sites with a picnic table, BBQ and fire ring all encircling a small pond(with plans to develop a second one)– but upon a closer look(OK, more than a look, you’ll have to go for a short drive or a 10 minute walk) and you’ll come to the main house, where there’s a Victorian-like pool oasis, complete with sun loungers and umbrellas. Behind the great house here, you’ll discover another pond and about 20 additional spots– some of which they’ll let out to tent campers. Insider’s tip? I would definitely recommend a site near the main house, where, BTW, there’s plans to build a clubhouse/ gym space. There’s plenty of open spaces for a game of flag football or ultimate frisbee along with other amenities such as 2 laundry areas as well as fresh eggs every morning from the hens onsite, along with your pick of fresh produce from the resort’s own home-grown vegetable gardens, 2 dog parks along with a number of decent, albeit not-too-difficult hiking trails. This spot is pet friendly and overall, I found the owners, staff and rest of the RV-going community to be quite friendly, welcoming and inviting. Another upside to this spot is that it is relatively new and so the owners appear to be building and adding new things everyday. Insider’s tips? I have a handful… Nearby there’s a handful of golf courses(if that’s your thing) and for those wanting to hit the ocean shores, you’ll have about a 50 minute drive to the nearest beaches– not too bad when you consider the very reasonable prices you’ll be paying to stay at this spot. I’d also recommend that you check out some of what SE Georgia has to offer such as the quaint town of St. Mary’s, and it goes without saying, nearby Savannah, as well as some pretty outstanding islands like St. Simons, Jekyll, Sapelo and Cumberland. There’s also nearby General Coffee State Park, which has fantastic hiking trails and features a Heritage Farm so the little ones can see how hard it was to live(and have fun) back in the day.     Okefenokee Pastimes Cabins and Campground

    Great park for exploring and star gazing!

    This small campground is a gem. Right across from Okefenokee Wildlife area. There’s tons to do. On site: meticulously maintained dark sky park. They have a dog park, beautiful hummingbird/butterfly gardens, pond. And a star field. But the star gazing is also incredible right on your site. Nice folks here too.

    Coastal GA RV Resort

    Brunswick, GA….Very large park

    Sites are nice size. Our 42’ fit perfect. We have a cement pad, picnic table and grill. They have separate water if you want to wash your vehicle or rig. Laundry, dog park and a nice pool. Park looks pretty full but it’s huge and clean. Easy hookup!!! Appropriately priced. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

    Laura S Walker State Park Campground

    Nicely kept, not much to do

    The camping area is very small, with sites close to each other and no privacy (flat area, tall pines without vegetation between sites). Having said that, it was pretty quiet; mostly used by retirees. It has a cute dog park, with areas for large and small pups. It has clean bathrooms and washer dryer that accepts apple pay. Park has a tiny beach for its tiny lake. Unfortunately, the very small lake is used by jet skiers and ski boats so very loud and no good for swimming, paddling or fishing except really early or late in the day. Two short trails are cute with tortoises. The bugs are enthusiastic so if you’re not ready to bathe in DEET, you will pay the price. Good park to spend the night on the way somewhere.
