Stayed here for 6 months. Somewhat pricey compared to off base facilities.
friendly staff on site. very nice sites on river inlet with perfectly placed utilities. bet clean restrooms and showers within a brief walk from every site. didn’t use pool but looked very clean and well maintained. look forward to visiting again when county wide recreational burn ban is lifted. a…
This is the first trip out in the new camper. It’s a small drive from where I live. The campsite is clean and lots of trees and a beautiful river to explore. You can launch you kayak or canoe right from your spot.
We spent two nights at E G Simmons County Park in Ruskin, Florida. It is first come, first served, no reservations but a quick call will let you know if they have sites available. Many sites are along the water with a small access point in the campsite. The saltwater access is to an exceptionally…

Canoe Outpost Peace River has different length of trips you can do. My wife and I have done the 12 mile twice. It was relaxing and the service they have to take your gear to campsite is just amazing. Highly recommend!
Check in is a breeze. Make sure to have your registration. I prefer loop 1 because of my bigger rig. Host are super friendly & helpful. There's a few piers, trails, & a playground. It's $18 for disabilities or seniors
Always have an issue with ppl working here. Cheyenne is beyond disrespectful we've decided to leave after our week stay. We've also made the complaint to the manager.
The park is beautiful. Have to pay additional for the spring.
I mainly choose this campground because it was close to my son’s home in Sarasota. The people in the office were very nice. The park is kept clean. I am in the pull thru sites which are a little tight and can be challenging to park on in big rigs. Roads are narrow with lots of turns. If you have a…
The only things to do at the campground are biking and hose back riding. The campsites are spread out. Campfires were permitted. No sewer connections.
I absolutely loved the MacDill FamCamp. It’s right by the beach and marina. There’s a small dog beach and two dog parks. Laundry facilities are centrally located. Cable is included. I recommend bringing a Verizon hotspot or stopping at spectrum and getting a WiFi plan. cellular service is not…

55+ mobile home park. They have a few spots available.
We stayed for just under a week and enjoyed the quiet and friendly park.
As we walked the property, residents were friendly.
We didn't really use any of the facilities, but overall a great visit.
They say they have spots for tents but infact they don't accommodate tents
We spent a night in Little Manatee River State Park, and were pretty happy with how easy it was to access the trails, canoe launch, playground and bathroom. We’ve spent time at various state parks and sometimes the trailhead is so far from camp it takes longer to get there than it does to hike it…
Hardee Lakes Park is a nice quiet park. Camp sites are nice and clean, with beautiful lake views.
Stayed at a non-electric site right on the lake. Fire pit is great and camp hosts even recommended a local small biz that will bring you firewood.
Trail system is great from dirt paths to…
