The back screened in great room is a great spot to spend an evening. The cabin includes the use use of the Waterfront outdoor kitchen Cabana.

I stayed there for 13 nights. Good experience. Customer service is excellent. I stayed on a concrete pad close to the main office. Great neighbours. Tight spaces but I had no issues maneuvering my 28' RV.
Had a marvelous time at the Meadow River Ranch. The grounds are well kempt, with a thick, lush carpet of a St. Augustine and rye grass blend covering the acreage. Very quiet and peaceful. A great place to just “be”. My grandson and I tried our luck fishing in the canal. Jeff was very accommodating. Let us run our generator as much as we wanted. Even let us run our dogs off leash for awhile.
We stayed at MRR in a self-contained RV, and as such had no need to use the outdoor toilet or solar shower, so I offer no comment on those facilities.
This is a nice camping location…or will be when they complete renovations. They are still recovering from hurricane damage, so there was some construction and noise. The spaces are pretty tight, but not as bad as other places. And they are staggered so it feels roomier. we had a nice site with a shaded patio. Also a misquote problem! Lots of misquotes and no see-ums. But the pool, boat ramp, playground, and dog park are all open. 2 dog parks! The laundry, hot tub, and camp store are still closed. It’s close to the Big Cypress Wildlife area, and an easy drive to Everglades National Park.
This was my 2nd visit to the park. At 50 bucks for a tent site, it isn't cheap, but the sites can accommodate up to 3 tents. The scenery is very nice and the staff are helpful, would go again.
We had a great stay at this KOA (Poet and I didn’t know it) we rented the cabin on Easter weekend in 2018. Bathrooms were clean, hot tub and pool were nice. Very quiet atmosphere and an overall great campground. Plan on returning in the future.
The campground was beautiful and the sites were somewhat spread out or had vegetation separating the sites. The guys in the shop were great to work with and very friendly
Ashley here with The Dyrt. We'd like to welcome your host, Jeff, to our platform. Lots of personal touches as this property, from hand-made signs to hammocks. There is a nice screened in porch to make your breakfast and a communal fire-pit. Check out this property and give them some love!
RV park is ok if you like these type of place. Staff friendly and clean facilities.
Incredibly clean amenities and friendly resort if you are lucky enough to get in. Mostly a snow bird community but overall very nice a community. Close to many restaurants, grocery and beaches!
If you are lucky enough to get into this campground, the experience is absolutely incredible. Everything is very well kept (laundry, gym, clubhouse etc.) very friendly neighbors/ campers but mostly a snowbird community especially in season. Campsites are normally booked out a year in advance and only available to stay 10 months max. Overall great experience for our stay.
Clean facilities , friendly campers and close to Many restaurants grocery stores, activities and beach.
Doing a 2 day weekend camping trip. The campground itself is pretty well maintained with decent albeit rather run down facilities. There are shaded spots available for tents and expansive views of the everglades. Temperatures have been perfect. It is expensive, at $45./night for a tent spot they are really pushing the envelope price wise but it's a worthwhile visit.
You are right on top of your neighbor. They allow permanent RVs here, some are in poor condition. There are mobile homes as “cabins”. Some of the sites are full of junk and not well maintained. There is not enough room to park vehicles so it looks like a used car lot. Behind the fence on the pool side is a construction site and trashy homes with dogs barking all night. They also allow washing your RV so you hear power washers all the time. The pool had occasional grand kids screaming and jumping in it. The staff here is friendly with the exception of the front desk clerk who is just a miserable woman. The location is good but getting in and out of here on a busy one way road can be harrowing. There is a permanent resident in her trailer who is deaf and blind and stands outside her trailer and screams, “HELLO” and “ANTHONY YOU THERE?”
If you’re looking for a warm, peaceful and friendly place to spend the winter months, this is the place. Very clean, beautiful palm trees and friendly staff. However, be warned that you are one hour away from the closest town and major shopping (Walmart). In other words this campground is truly remote. There is a gas station, convenience store and a few places where you can get simple takeout on the Big Cypress reservation. The rest of the reservation consists mostly of cattle ranches, sugarcane and citrus.
This small no frills campground was great for the price. Beautiful area all around but nothing fancy. Its a short drive to downtown Naples and Naples Pier/Beach which I highly recommend. Great friendly staff and campers.
FYI. I’ve run into this several times on the Dyrt
We stayed here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is fantastic, close enough in to be 5 minutes from a super Wallmart and shopping, 25 minutes to Everglades City where we went out fishing and took an air boar tour, and is a hop skip to Marco beaches. This is your standard KOA with an upscale amenities list. The cell service and Wi-Fi were fantastic all over the site bc they have signal boosters located throughout. We are tent campers and the various tent sites seemed to be better than most. The pads were dry and flat. Each site has a table, fire pit ring, and water/ele. The sites are kinda on the steep side, but the place is nice and the owner totally believes in upgrading and maintenance, which is refreshing in this day and age. The pool facilities are super nice and the bath facilities were very clean. I will definitely be coming back to this little hide away! I give it 5 stars for its cleanliness, amenities, super friendly staff, location, and my experience staying there. We drove away with a smile on our faces and great Memories. I’m surprised there aren’t more reviews posted!
Quiet & private, friendly staff. Bring insect repellant & enjoy the Everglades!
With a newly purchased Catalina and a few days before memorial weekend we found this very nice Campground. Nice folks and staff.
Clean and office friendly and helpful. Seasonal campers are standoffish. Not welcoming and friendly.
This is my second time here in 2 months, no other place feels so calm and welcoming without a million rules. Great staff everyone seems so happy.
It’s the Skunkape Headquarters! It’s got a lot more to offer than other camp stops that cross FL along US41, though a bit pricey. They have a reptile exhibit which you can visit for free if you’re staying here. Safe, clean & friendly.
Stayed here a night in February 2021. State parks aren’t yet allowing tents due to Covid. We camp in our truck so don’t fit the definition of “self contained” or tenters, so this spot was great. Water and electric or primitive sites available. There were some great cabins/huts that looked great, too. Hosts are welcoming and helpful. Firewood, ice and some supplies available on site. The sites were spacious and had room to spread out and not be on top of your neighbors. Picnic table and fire rings at each site. It was a full moon the night we stayed and the stars were still incredibly bright as there is very little light pollution. Sunset was beautiful. Some mosquitos at dusk, but not bad at all. (It was February- sure June would be different...) Plenty of trees for shade and hammocks. Two showers in both the men’s and women’s bathrooms. Showers were hot with good water pressure. Shower drains could have been better as the floors were wet throughout the whole bathhouse, unfortunately. (Only reason it’s not a 5-star review.) One bar service on Verizon, but typical for me in the area. We only stayed a night so didn’t take full advantage of kayaks and boats, but there is a lot to do. Campers have free admission to the Snake Ape and reptile exhibits- snake lovers will enjoy the snakes including one of the largest captive pythons in the world. We held a baby alligator and saw the adults up close. The caretaker was refreshingly knowledgeable and caring. Overall, a quick stop for us but we enjoyed it and would stay here again.
We were so glad to find this place on The Dyrt. Once you check in, there is someone there to guide you to your site. You cannot reserve sites, you just request the amps needed for your rig. There are tent sites, cabins, and Chickee huts to rent as well. We were guided to a pull thru site. This was a first for us and we were thrilled. Our site was directly across from the bath house. We had no trouble leveling our trailer and getting set up. Fire pits are at every site and fires are encouraged. If you did not bring wood, there is some for sale. The bath house was adequate. It could be cleaner, but it is camping. The sites include water and electric. You are not able to pick up antennae TV unless you have high quality tall antennae. Radio stations came in just fine. At the front of the park is a little store with SkunkApe gear and an animal exhibit with gators, pythons and chickens. Skunkape is the equivalent of Sasquatch. Apparently, there is a legend of sitings in the Everglades. Kayak and canoe rentals are available as well as a swamp buggy ride. We brought our own kayaks and were told where to enjoy them. This campground is 15 minutes from Everglade City and 25 minutes from Collier-Seminole State Park.
My girlfriend and I wanted to do the spur of the moment camping trip and so, while we were driving from the east side of south Florida we tried calling multiple campgrounds to find which had last minute availability for a 7:30 pm check-in. This campground was the first to answer the phone number listed on this app. The lady that answered was very nice and explained they had electricity and showers and that there were still tent sites available. The latest time you can check in is 9:00 pm and check out time is lax so we weren’t told a specific time.
Once arriving to the campground all we had to do was call a number to unlock the gate and then we paid for our camp site while we were in the car. After we paid, we were escorted to our camping site by a gentleman on a four wheeler.
The camping cite has a grill and electricity but we couldn’t find any water pump. But we brought water so we were fine. We were on a site next to the bathroom which also has showers, so it was easily accessible. There is a good amount of space for each site. You can definitely play some music at a low volume without disturbing anyone else. Another great aspect of this location is your ability to see all of the stars. There are no towns close by so the light pollution is low.
We are in November now and the weather is in the 70s during the day and 60s at night so the mosquitoes are not bad, but they are still present. Having a bottle of bug spray and maybe a fogger will do just fine in this weather.
Overall I am so happy with this campsite and it was perfect for what we were looking for.
This RV resort is delightful. The roads are tight for bigger rigs. Don't let that deter you. We truly enjoyed our stay and we will definitely return to this campground!
Dogs are welcome, the grounds were impeccably kept, the staff was professional, and the atmosphere of the resort was relaxing.
Great place. Extremely friendly staff. Short, awesome bicycle ride to Everglades City. The view of the sunset on the bay is absolutely stunning. They offer fishing guide services and boat rentals.
