Inyo National Forest manages Lower Lee Vining Campground along Lee Vining Creek, just outside the small town of Lee Vining and a short drive from the Tioga Pass entrance to Yosemite. Sites are on the smaller side but level and clean, each with a fire pit, picnic table, and bear locker. Mature trees provide shade throughout the loops, and pit toilets and trash service are available on-site. Cell service is present, and pets are welcome. At $14 per night, with discounts available through access card programs, it works well as a base for day trips to Bodie State Historic Park or Mono Lake. Campers interested in pet-friendly camping near Inyo National Forest will find several options in the surrounding area.
