Accessible via forest roads, Upper Blue Lake Damsite Campground operates seasonally from August through September in the Sierra Nevada east of Markleeville. The established campground accommodates RVs up to 34 feet and provides standard amenities including toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings. Pets are permitted throughout the site.
The campground sits adjacent to Upper Blue Lake and its dam structure, providing water access for visitors. One camper noted the dam and lake views during their visit to the area. Several other campgrounds operate nearby, including Upper Blue Lake Dam less than a quarter-mile away for those wanting similar lakeside access.
