Large grass area that looked like it could be for camping, it was on top of the lake overlooking it. It was absolutely beautiful. Didnt see any campers but it didn’t say don’t camp here.
Beautiful day trip to see some gorgeous views of a damn and lake. I would definitely come back here again, we happened to just stumble upon it.
Typical back of the woods campsite. Perfect spot for large gatherings! We stayed out here with a group of 20 people, it was perfect for us.
The customer service is great and the people deem safety as a priority. This place is beautiful.
At first sight, it’s a little horror movie ish. I wouldn’t feel safe camping here. San Diego is so big, there’s hundreds of spots I’d pick before this one. This is an emergency type scenario campsite.
This is an off-roading an military training area. The closer you get to the boarder the less safe it gets. Wouldn’t recommend trying to camp here.
The view of the mountains are unreal and the quality of the amenities is beyond expectations! Definitely make sure to take the Gondola to the top of the mountain!
Giant RV park with many entrances, it looks free but don’t quote me on that. We camped here off the dirt road and didn’t see anyone to pay. We asked a few people around and they said they had never paid either. Again, don’t quote me on that! Beautiful area, tons of shooting and off-roading nearby.

This is a beautiful area to off-road, it is closed temporarily due to covid so hopefully that opens back up here pretty soon. I’ve never camped here but have always wanted to. It’s so secluded and the stars out here are unreal.
Our group all camped here because we heard the sites were very large. We weren’t disappointed at all, it was absolutely gorgeous!! The scenery is breathtaking.
Awesome place to camp. There’s lots of tree coverage and the caretakers are very kind people. The camp sites were very well kept. There was absolutely peace and quiet. It was amazing.
The creek was dry when we were there, I’m assuming it only flows after January and rain comes in. It was still absolutely beautiful and had lots of trails for us to off-road.
We had a blast here with our group. The surrounding trails were perfect for all of us to off-road. There was easy trails and hard trails which made it fun for everyone.
This place was a lot of fun to camp. We traveled in a large group so finding sites large enough was my concern. This place was so big it had space for another 10 cars and tents. We’re coming back for sure.
4x4 recommend, it gets pretty sandy and we did have our tires aired down. There’s tons of space and all FCFS.
We love this spot!! There’s camping all over the place and all the people are awesome! DONT LEAVE YOUR TRASH. PACK OUT WHAT YOU PACK IN.
Perfect for group sites. There’s an endless plethora of campsites. It will never be full.
We had a blast here!! We only drove through this spot but we stayed here for a good couple hours playing in the sand!
