Upper San Juan Campground - CLOSED

After driving for hours to get there, only to find the gate closed with a sign saying permanently closed, we did what any decent human being would do. Climb under the gate and set up camp anyway. What is the point for it being closed? Who knows, government laziness, control, etc.... This is California. Campgrounds are few and far between compared to the population. And forget paying for a hotel. Just need a place to sleep for the night. It is right off the highway, so the CONSTANT sound of cars driving by makes this a poorly placed campground for peace and quiet.
