Not what we hoped for

We stayed in the Antioch loop on site 93. The site was super close to 92 and 94. We felt we had no personal space. A couple kept walking through our campsite to get to a boat they had parked at our site. I love rustic but Antioch was not rustic, it was over grown and did not look maintained. We…

Great for young families

We stayed this past weekend. Luckily, we chose the E (more quiet) area because we didn’t want to stay for more than 3 days. Explored all over and saw how crowded c and b were. There are a few less crowded spots on the water but for the most part it’s very close. Good if you want your kids to play…

Great place to go camping!

Awesome campground. If you look at the map you’ll see that some sites are full hook-up and some are not. We stayed in C section with full hook-ups. They have playgrounds throughout the campground, trails from 1 mile long to 15 miles long that can be utilized by horse, bike, or on foot. Boat rentals…

Very relaxing and shadybon Antioch Loop.

This campground has 2 loops.  Catoma which has concrete pads and some shade.  Antioch is gravel pads but very shady!!!!  It's more close to nature!!!  I highly recommend the Antioch Loop!!!

  • Campsite 132 on Antioch Loop. Was a long site and very shady!!!
  • The Bamboo Park wasn't very far away and so unique.

Military friendly

This place shows great appreciation for their military members currently serving with free entry to the regular park. This place is the perfect weekend getaway for any and all to just relax and enjoy the beautiful lake and abundant forests

One of the Best!

We really enjoyed our stay at Wind Creek. The lake is beautiful with plenty amenities. There are quite a few campsites on the lake, the rest still have lake views. Some slots are smaller than others, which is something you have to be cautious about when reserving your spot. Other than that,…

Lakefront Serenity

This park has beautiful sites. We stayed in the premium waterfront (January 15th for 6 days, during offseason) and while there were quite a few other neighbors we felt like we had the place to ourselves. I’m sure the place is hopping during season. We kayaked, fished, hiked and the kids geocached,…

Huge!

Huge campground and the sites are fairly close and crowed for a state park. Beautiful location. Waterfront sites have a week minimum but if any are available at check in time you can upgrade.

Pretty neat place

I say this because we got here 1 November and it was half full. This is a very LARGE campground, it would be very busy if it were packed. The gate coming in is very very tight, and easy to miss. The only sign directs to the park (not the campground), follow. Our neighbor waited months to get a…

Very nice amenities

State park. Very pretty and lots of trees. Camp with all amenities (a bit pricey) or with no hook ups. Lots to do. Family oriented. Lots of trees and lots of waterfront lots on the shores of one of Alabamas most beautiful lakes.

Words can’t describe

This place was awful. We pulled into our “camping spot” and pulled right back out. It was packed in like sardines and even if we were not in a pandemic, it was too crowded. Not exactly camping. It’s just a spot on a over crowded lake to park you’re RV. Do not expect to tent camp here. The staff was…

Beautiful State Park

Love this place. Everything from all hook ups with wifi to primative camping. Fishing, swimming beach, campstore, laundry facilities, nice boat ramps and canoe rentals. Extra clean and well maintained.
