      Clean, quiet, spectacular location!

I enjoyed staying in the screen house cabin and will definitely be back. Lots to do in the area if you like fishing, hiking, biking, horses, and much more. I had a great campfire and watched a mama bear and her cub on the hill beyond the cabin!  Also saw deer in the driveway and the night sky was awesome with NO lights in any direction except the stats!

Great hosts and everything you need!

      Lake Ellen Campground

      Amazing Lake

This is one of my son’s and my happy spots! We love hiking around the lake and the campsites are affordable and beautiful. The west side is more open but also dispersed. The East side is less dispersed but more private with thick vegetation between most sites. There are rocky outcrops around most of the lake and a small island. I’ve heard the fishing is good but we’ve never gotten any bites yet… but that’s just a matter of figuring out what lures/bait to use. Many people just park next to the road to fish as eagles and osprey can be seen diving into the lake to catch fish of their own.

Free WiFi, Free Showers, Bathrooms, Water

Currently, there is a 72-hour camping limit and is a city park, which means they don't accept any type of pass or discount such as the Discover Pass. The fee is $10/night (72 hours maximum). But you can still hang out here during the day-use hours until then, if you don't have the money.

I like this area very much. Nothing spectacular, but free showers, free WiFi, bathrooms, water faucet, and water spigot is hard to beat.

You can call them and ask any questions. The number is 509-422-3600

parking lot with grass area for tents. Toilets and shower. $10 per night

Great place if you’re just looking for a spot to spend the night or take a shower. The park is sandwiched between a busy city street and the river. Bathrooms are old but clean. Possibly open all night. There are no individual spots it’s just a long parking lot with a grass area for tents.

      Group Site

Awesome fireplace and picnic area, the tent area is a short walk from the covered area. A public path right through the camping area which was kind of annoying since the tent area wasn’t visible from the cooking area so there were strangers walking around our tents. Nice private beach area.

      Quiet and comfortable

Just wanted somewhere kind of close to go check out and camp. Husband wanted to go fishing there so we figured if there were sites we would stay. Pulled in and there are two sides of the lake to stay on. We had one picked out but then decided to try the other side which I’m glad we did since we were right near the water at the boat launch. Lots of access to the water. Lake has trout, largemouth bass and crappies. Toilets are vault houses but were clean enough. The place fills up fast so if you want a spot in the weekend then you better get there fast.

Cloverleaf Campground — Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area

      Beautifully rugged camping

Spots are clean with fire pit and tables. Dirt trails on the water which is a beautiful little cove on lake Roosevelt. Bald eagles, and lots of bugs. Most often in the summer you can hear the big pow wows going on across the river at night. See a universe of stars and enjoy feeling close to nature in this uncomnercialized quaint small campground. Which btw, is ALWAYS full when I've gone there. The only downfall is that the local teens like to have big ragers there and when that happens its only USUALLY for one night then they leave but they get loud and obnoxious. I've experienced that happening 7 out of 10 times I've camped there. Good spot to fish, kayak, float a sun island, rock hound, bird watch, critter watch, rest, relax, and get, away from people.

      Peaceful spots

Nice drive thru loops between camp spots between 2 lakes even for larger rigs.  Locals use rope swing off highway into Beaver Lake.  Large spots with tables and fire rings.  Trash dumpster, water, outhouses but no showers or hookups!

Great one night plus spot in NE corner Washington state.

Cool sleeping at this elevation when hot weather persists in lower lands.  We pull a 32’ Outdoors RV trailer behind a full size 6’ bed and quad cab Dodge truck.  We would have fit in a few of spots and there was 8 total with tighter loop turn around at end.  Water was off due to Covid and was no trash dumpster but did have outhouses.  Nice trail to go hiking out back of campground and simple walking wheelchair loop at Overlook parking lot.  Was some road noise when the few cars around here passed us since CG is beside road at summit of Pass but was still nice private spaces with table, fire ring and near level parking pads.

      Beautiful & quiet.

Great campground with easy access to the woods and a beautiful lake with views and fishing. Paved road, clean drinking water, vaulted toilets, locking dumpsters for trash, no motorized boats allowed. Great for families that enjoy camping, great lake for fishing and kayaking, great spot for birding. There are pull through spots for trailers in the upper part of the campground and back in spots with lake views and access. Walk in and group sites are much more private.

Cute, not super private, but there is only 13 sites.

The spaces were quite large and not very shaded. The lake is nice, but you can't see it from any of the campsites. Lake Ellen West is by far better. If you go down the road a little, there is a beautiful view of the lake. Vault toilets, picnic tables and fire rings are available. There are also dumpsters.
