The Camp @ Cloudcroft RV Park

This is not a concrete snowbird parking lot. It’s a campground with utilities. Comfortable and quiet for a reasonable price. The star gazing is fantastic.

We truly enjoyed our three night stay. The owners and managers were welcoming and friendly. The bath house has two large individual restrooms that each have a shower. We took our 8 year old boy and he had such a great time and spotted some deer close to camp. Rio Penasco is a nice small river that runs thru camp that was very relaxing to hear in the background and has a walking trail next to it. We will definitely stay here again.

I had I great time including my family the place was so nice everyone there was respectful and friendly I slept in the wall tent and omg it was so warm we went when it got down to 32 degrees so it was nice for the heater and heated blankets they also had a nice creek with trees and trees by far the best for a weekend nights .

This place is a hidden treasure. Located at about 6500 feet elevation on the eastern slope of the Sacramento Mountains this campground is a perfect launching pad for daytrips to many local attractions. The Rio Penasco River runs right through the park and offers the opportunity to catch a trout or 2. Local Mule deer and turkeys are no strangers here and visit frequently. The WiFi is good but cell signal is hard to come by. There is a nice Cafe in Mayhill, as well as a convenience store and gas station about 2 blocks from the campground. The campground is open year round and caters to hunters in the Fall. The campground is family friendly and offers live music at times during the summer months. The managers Bennie and Yolanda are top notch and always at your service. That being said my wife and I came here last November and have been here ever since as Camp Hosts. We just love it here.

When I went I was one of two tent campers. The site were right beside a beautiful stream. It was quite and very relaxed there. Will definitely go back again.

Owners and managers are helpful, informative, gracious folks. Campsites are level, pull through with full hookups. The location is terrific for wildlife watching, day trips to historically interesting sites, and campground living. Facilities are clean and well cared for. Our number one choice for all seasons camping.

The Camp@cloudcroft

We love Royce and the Camp @ Cloudcroft. We started out coming here NYE. We stayed in the teardrop camper — so cold outside but the teardrop was warm and cozy. Since then we’ve been back several times! They have new beautifully renovated shower houses. They have a Yurt with all you could ever think of as well as a pop up trailer (amazing king size bed). When you rent these, you basically can come with clothes and food. They think of everything else from utensils, grills, stoves, linens, seasonings ... even a deck of cards! There’s WiFi throughout the campground. They also have RV spaces and tent areas. Super super nice staff (Sissy and her pup Mickey). Can’t recommend this place enough and we can’t wait to get back to our home away from home!!

Clean showers/restroom. A little crowded Memorial Weekend, but we had a great stay. Camp host friendly. The have a gazebo with a TV and table. My daughters played in the stream that runs along side the camp.
