Holder Cove Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Fly fishing and kayaking draw most visitors to Holder Cove Campground, where every site sits directly on the river in Cherokee National Forest. Sites are level gravel with a fire ring, lantern pole, and picnic table, and the campground fits tents, small RVs, and teardrops. Vault toilets are on-site, but there is no water or electrical hookups. Cell service is nonexistent here, and the access road is narrow paved, so plan accordingly. Nearby, Tellico River Campgrounds and Big Oak Cove Campground are close alternatives along the same corridor. Note that pets are not permitted. At around $10 per night, bring cash or check payment options in advance, and pack all your own drinking water.

Nice camp

All sites here are on the river. Plenty of room for a small rv or tent, level gravel sites with fire ring and lantern pole. These sites, well all of the campgrounds on the river are cheap (10 bucks a night), well maintained with no frills. No water or power with vaulted toilets. Not much in the way of hiking, but a good place to relax, Fisk and kayak. Zero cell service and narrow paved road going in are the only downside.

Our Regular Stop

This is an easy place to find and right on the road, can't miss it. Great fly fishing spot. Tent, Small RV, or teardrop spots, vault toilet, no water. Just the basics, fire ring, lamp post, table. Enjoy!!
