Hitchcock RV park

The only reason this RV Park is getting one star is because I have to give it one so I can post my review. My husband and I have been traveling for over a year and have stayed at many RV parks, but this one is the worst we have encountered. We were drawn to Hitchcock because of its proximity to Galveston and the advertised free Wi-Fi. However, the Wi-Fi is nearly unusable, and the speed is abysmal. We were also misled about the laundry facilities; the dryers are ineffective, requiring around$20 to dry clothes properly. It's cheaper to use a laundromat than to spend$60 washing and drying here. When we raised complaints, the manager and owner promised to address them, but nothing changed. The same issues persist. Although the park has beautiful wildlife, it's disheartening to know some residents harm the ducks and dispose of their bodies in trash bags. The biggest problem is the maintenance man. He lacks proper skills and has damaged our sewer and electrical lines while mowing the grass, leaving debris on our vehicles. He cut a neighbor's electrical cord and took weeks to fix it. When we notified the manager about our sewer line, he suggested we tape it up, which is absurd. The maintenance man also fluctuates the water pressure, claiming the water bill is too high, but the city says there are no issues. Sometimes, the pressure is so low that showers are impossible. If you value peace and quiet, this is not the place for you. The maintenance man frequently plays loud music, disturbing everyone. Despite multiple complaints to management, no action has been taken. They acknowledge his behavior by saying he has'issues' but allow him to continue unchecked. When I confronted him about the noise due to my early work hours, he insulted me and threatened violence. The owner did nothing when I reported this. This maintenance man seems to hold power over the park and has displayed racist behavior. I'm considering legal action as I believe my husband and I were in danger due to his instability. He constantly lurks around and peers into windows, which raises concerns given his criminal history. I’m awaiting a background check from my attorney and will ensure this information is made public. Safety Safety is a significant concern here. The maintenance man is known to be aggressive, using foul language and making threats. He appears unstable and has a criminal history, including felonies, and carries a firearm. This individual has a troubling background involving serious offenses. He is known to lurk around homes and boasts about inappropriate encounters with women, regardless of their truth. Recently, he was bitten by a dog while prowling around a woman's residence, likely aware she was alone. Additionally, some residents engage in drug-related activities, including meth production and distribution. Law enforcement is frequently present in the area. If you have children, you must constantly supervise them, as their safety cannot be assured.
