The Agricenter International RV Park in Memphis does not offer horse corrals or specific equestrian facilities. This RV park provides full hookups including electric, water, and sewer connections, with both tent and RV camping available. Campsites feature picnic tables and the grounds have showers and toilets. The park allows pets but prohibits fires. Reviews indicate it's primarily functional rather than scenic, with sites positioned close together in what some visitors describe as a "parking lot" layout. Located in what users consider a safer area of Memphis, the campground provides convenient access to attractions including a farmer's market adjacent to the property.

Cook's Lake RV Resort and Campground accommodates both tent and RV camping with water and electric hookups available. The campground permits campfires and includes picnic tables at sites. Located approximately 15 minutes from downtown Memphis, this campground primarily serves as base housing for workers rather than recreational campers. Most guests are construction and trade workers who maintain early schedules, resulting in a quiet atmosphere despite limited recreational opportunities. The exposed layout offers minimal protection from weather elements, as the property was previously a mobile home park. The campground owner receives positive mentions in user reviews for being helpful and responsive to guest concerns.

Cook's Lake RV Resort and Campground

Work Campground (very few recreational campers)

We stayed here for ~2.5 months.  Will detail good/bad comments below:

      Good

      1. Owner.  Wes.  He is awesome.

      2. Safety. This is next to police academy, and has several students living in it - never felt danger here.

      3. Away from it all.  But still close to Memphis.  About 15 minutes to downtown, but within cell service.

      Bad

      1. Workers mainly.  Ton of construction, trade, and 0500-1700 workers.  This was great from a sleeping standpoint (no one was ever loud) but kids didn't have a scene so to speak.

      2. Exposed.  In the sun, rain, wind, etc.  It was an old mobile-home park, so very exposed to elements.

      Agricenter International RV Park

Close to a lot of attractions but mostly buddy sites

This is the kind of RV park that you come to to go look at the close attractions. Almost all of the sites are buddy sites where your front door is facing your neighbor's. There is no privacy at all and we actually ran into a problem with our "buddy neighbor". The problem was taken care of by the manager of the park but those are things to keep in mind. They are full hookup sites and offer up to 3 months of stay. We gave it only 3 stars because this is not the kind of park we are used to, we are used to more open sites.

The bathrooms are quite a walk if you are further into the park. There are 2 restrooms with a shower in each. One bathroom was really clean and had a nicely tiled shower. The other bathroom was always dirty and wasn't updated like the other one. The bathrooms are actually located in the farmer's market building which isn't in the RV park itself.

Local attractions: The Farmer's Market (it's an easy walk from the park), Graceland (was about 30-40 min from the park), The Miami Zoo (was about 20 min from the park). I am sure there are a lot more but we weren't able to get to them in the time that we stayed.

      Agricenter International RV Park

      Safe place to stay

It is definitely not the nicest Park we have been to- laundry facilities are run down, two of the dryers will tear up your clothes, and the bathrooms are never clean. They are working on adding gravel to the spaces, right now though when it rains you are in a swamp. The spaces are also very close together. All that being said, not a terrible monthly price, the trash cans are shared and the wifi is slow in the evening, but you're not paying extra for that or water or power. It is quiet, everyone keeps to themselves, they say it is 3 month maximum but I do know of some who are staying longer. It is in the nicer part of Memphis, so if you are looking for a safe place to stay here, this is it. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway in the country, it is not.

      Agricenter International RV Park

      Parking Lot

This is basically a parking lot for RV’s, not a campground. Campers are stacked on top of each other. I would only recommend this place if you are working an event at the Agricenter or if you are passing through town and desperate for a place to stay.

    Guide to Burlison

Camping options near Burlison, Tennessee primarily serve practical needs rather than recreational purposes, with RV parks located within a 30-mile radius of the town. Burlison sits in Tipton County at an elevation of 374 feet, experiencing humid subtropical climate with hot summers and mild winters. The region's flat terrain offers limited natural features at campgrounds themselves, with most serving as convenient bases for exploring nearby attractions.

    What to do

Farmers market shopping: The Agricenter International RV Park provides direct access to an adjacent farmers market where campers can purchase local produce. "Full hookups and convenient location. We have stayed there several times," notes Brent M. about the Agricenter International RV Park.

Memphis zoo visits: Located approximately 20 minutes from some camping areas, the Memphis Zoo makes for a popular day trip. "The Miami Zoo was about 20 min from the park," mentions one camper staying at the Agricenter, providing a convenient attraction for families.

Police academy tours: Some campgrounds have unusual proximity to local services. Cook's Lake RV Resort and Campground is "next to police academy, and has several students living in it - never felt danger here," according to Paul C., creating a unique setting with enhanced security.

    What campers like

Quiet environment: The work-focused nature of certain campgrounds creates unexpectedly peaceful surroundings. At Cook's Lake, Paul C. explains there are a "ton of construction, trade, and 0500-1700 workers. This was great from a sleeping standpoint (no one was ever loud)."

Safety considerations: Several campgrounds in the region prioritize security. Nikki R. points out that the Agricenter "is in the nicer part of Memphis, so if you are looking for a safe place to stay here, this is."

Responsive management: Staff responsiveness stands out in camper reviews for some locations. At Agricenter International RV Park, one reviewer noted that when they "ran into a problem with our 'buddy neighbor'. The problem was taken care of by the manager of the park."

    What you should know

Limited equestrian camping near Burlison, Tennessee: None of the reviewed campgrounds offer dedicated equestrian facilities or horse corrals. Visitors seeking horse-friendly accommodations should contact campgrounds directly about potential arrangements or look beyond the immediate Burlison area.

Work-oriented atmosphere: Many campgrounds primarily host workers rather than recreational campers. As Paul C. explains about Cook's Lake, there are "very few recreational campers" and "kids didn't have a scene so to speak," making it less ideal for vacation-focused stays.

Weather vulnerability: Some sites offer minimal protection from elements. Cook's Lake is described as "Exposed. In the sun, rain, wind, etc. It was an old mobile-home park, so very exposed to elements," according to Paul C.

Site spacing concerns: Many campgrounds feature closely positioned sites. One camper states that at the Agricenter, "The spaces are also very close together," limiting privacy between campers.

    Tips for camping with families

Bathroom accessibility: Consider campsite location relative to facilities. One camper notes, "The bathrooms are quite a walk if you are further into the park. There are 2 restrooms with a shower in each" at Agricenter International RV Park.

Limited recreational options: Families should prepare their own entertainment. At Cook's Lake, "kids didn't have a scene so to speak" according to Paul C., indicating minimal built-in activities for children.

Alternative accommodations for equestrians with children: Families seeking horseback riding opportunities near Burlison should research day-use equestrian facilities rather than expecting on-site horse camping options at local RV parks.

    Tips from RVers

Extended stay options: Some locations accommodate longer-term camping needs. Nikki R. reports that at Agricenter, "they say it is 3 month maximum but I do know of some who are staying longer," which benefits those needing extended arrangements.

Site conditions during rain: Weather can significantly impact certain campgrounds. At Agricenter International RV Park, Nikki R. warns "They are working on adding gravel to the spaces, right now though when it rains you are in a swamp," suggesting campers should check recent weather before arrival.

Utility reliability: Water and power reliability varies across campgrounds. One RVer noted at Agricenter, "you're not paying extra for that or water or power," indicating basic utilities are included in the rate without additional metering.
