Nice spot on Lake Miller

Just arrived today. I’ll update after our full stay. Come here to explore Sumpter and the mines. Dispersed but tables and fire rings. Some pull throughs. No hookups or trash service. Beautiful setting. 3 bars AT&T.

Sites are not level. Large rigs will be fine, ours is 30’ TT

After stay review. Had a great time. Cranes were hanging at the lake, two Bald Eagles were close by. Great location with a lot to explore.

Quiet and beautiful

Stayed here mid November. When we arrived no one was in the 13 spot campground. Parked at the very end nearest the lake and had spectacular views of the surrounding valley and mountains. We've also been here in the summer when the campground is full which is quite a different experience. Still nice even in the summer but we enjoy off-season camping here. It's open all year but in the winter months the campground is not maintained by Anthony Lakes who runs it for the Forest service. Therefore camping is free since there's no fee envelopes provided. Great hiking along the Lakeshore both on dedicated hiking trails and on the dirt and gravel roads nearby. The sandhill cranes are not present this time of year but there's still plenty of wildlife to be seen including geese and elk.
