Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area

Part of the USDA Forest Service's Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, this established campground sits among forested terrain with access to both open dunes and water features. The location provides direct access to sand areas where off-road vehicle enthusiasts can ride early in the morning, as one long-term visitor notes after returning since 2003. Bathroom facilities are positioned within walking distance of campsites.

The campground serves as a base for exploring the recreation area's diverse landscape of dunes, forest, and waterways. Road access allows RVs and trailers to reach sites, while the nearby town of Gardiner offers dining options including deli food. For additional overnight options in the area, campers can explore campsites near Gardiner. The setup works well for groups combining camping with motorized recreation activities.

Fun camping, loud people and dirtbikes!

This campsite is awesome. Been coming here since 2003 and it never disappoints. We camp close to the sand so we can take our dirtbikes out early. Bathrooms are close, town is nearby with delicious deli food and the hosts are very nice.
