Super close to Bend

It is in a vast recreation area for off road vehicles. The main road in is gravel and quite smooth. I easily found a site to car camp late at night. It was just 20 minutes from site to Bend. No amenities just a good place to car camp.

Great, Quiet, Easy Spot

This was a good place to camp for a night while spending the day in Bend. It's 15-20 minutes out of downtown, easy to find, easy to drive, and was pretty secluded. We spent about 5 minutes driving down the forest service road and found a nice, flat spot in no time. There are signs for the first mile or so down the forest road that say no camping, but if you drive a little further, they then have camping available further down the road.

Pretty good

Minimal bugs, quiet and easy to find a spot, and excellent reception. Dusty and no bathrooms, (if you are not in a vehicle with a bathroom, this can be a problem since there were quiet a few people around the area, spaced out but visible to each other).

Quiet

Tight roads, lots of options. Didn’t exactly camp at this one - went more down the road. Nice and peaceful for the night

Nice spot

The Dyrt app led right to the camping spot, I pulled off and found a couple of 👍 good flat spots to pitch a tent, a rock 🔥 fire ring and absolutely no litter, other than a couple of cig butts that I hauled out when I left. Pretty quiet and no neighbors, just unimproved camping in the ponderosa pine country six miles ouside Bend toward Mount Hood...pull off the road more than you would normally as you will be be lulled to sleep with the occasional noisy logging truck going by. Please leave it cleaner than you found it, so this free spot will continue to be nice for the next guest.
