Tioga Point Campground

Boat access only defines the experience at this state-managed campground on Raquette Lake. The 18 sites include full hookups for RVs, though getting larger rigs across the water requires careful planning and local knowledge. Campers find private sites with direct lake access and lean-to shelters that eliminate the need for tents.

The secluded location keeps crowds minimal, making it suitable for off-leash dogs and quiet fishing. Black bears visit regularly, so proper food storage is essential. For additional options, see camping near Raquette Lake. Reserve early for the May through September season, as this boat-in spot has drawn families since the 1960s.

It

This campground is only accessible by boat. The campsites are private and you can enjoy the beach with crystal clear water. Fishing is great. My husband family has been going there since the 60s. We have graduated to a travel trailer and have gotten a little old to be sleeping in tents. Needless to say that it is tough to get the travel trailer across the lake if you go make sure you charcoal up a stick and write your name in the lean to watch out for the neighborly bears

Boat-in only

You can only reach this campground by boat. The campground is very secluded and there are lean-to style campsites. You don't have to bring a tent unless you want to. This definitely saves some space in your boat. Pets are allowed! And since there usually aren't many people here, it's a great place to bring your dog for a long range game of frisbee or a good day of swimming.
