Valle Tio Vinces Camp operates within Apache National Forest under US Forest Service management, accommodating RVs up to 30 feet in length. The campground maintains a seasonal schedule from April through November, closing during winter months when snow and cold temperatures make access difficult.
Located in the Quemado area of New Mexico, this established campground enforces a no-pets policy that distinguishes it from many other forest service facilities. Campers planning trips should verify current road conditions and availability, as the remote forest setting can present access challenges during shoulder seasons or after weather events.
Description
Valle Tio Vinces Campground is a partially developed campground on the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail. Although there is no water available it is still a nice resting spot for hikers and bike riders. There are also horse corrals for equestrians looking for a place to camp.
