    Santa Fe, New Mexico

Santa Fe Skies RV Park is family built, owned and operated. It sits on 17 acres overlooking the beautiful mountains of Santa Fe, New Mexico. We are "Big Rig friendly". Fifty five sites are pull-thrus designed to accommodate large motor coaches and travel trailer rigs. All sites are equipped with 20/30/50 amp electrical service. Water and Sewer are available at all pull-thru and almost all back-in sites. We are "pet friendly". Free Wifi is available. The RV Park is within a short driving distance to two major shopping malls (one an outlet mall), several restaurants, a large supermarket and other local businesses. We are located just off the scenic Turquoise Trail, which includes the historic Villages of Cerrillos and the artist center of Madrid. It is only a short distance from the 17th Century Spanish Colonial Living History Museum, El Rancho de Las Golondrinas, which was the last overnight stop for travelers coming to Santa Fe on the El Camino Real from Mexico. The city of Santa Fe is located at the base of the Sangre de Cristo mountains at an altitude of 7,000 ft. above sea level. (That is 1,500 ft. higher than Denver, Colorado.) Since the Santa Fe Skies RV Park sits on a ridge just outside of town, you get a panoramic view of the entire Santa Fe area! Not only can you see the historic Sangre de Cristo Mountains, where the sunset makes the mountains shine with a red glow in the evening (hence the name "Sangre de Cristo" or "Blood of Christ"), you can also see the Jemez Mountains to the west, and in the south and southwest the Cerrillos Hills, the Ortiz Mountains and the Sandia Peak at the base of which lies the city of Albuquerque.

    Happy Trails RV Park

    Not really a nightly park

They were very helpful in a last minute need for a full hook up site. Nice upon late check in. But honestly this seems to be more of a long term resident place than a nightly stop. We came in very late and left very early so no facilities were used. Full hookups, all worked fine.

    Route 66 RV Resort

    Nice and new!

We spent one night here in early April, 2020. We live in Albuquerque, and it was the middle of the early Coronavirus lockdown, but were looking to just get away from the house and still be away from people. With all the state and national parks closed, we had to go commercial. Rt. 66 RV Resort is just loaded with amenities (none of which we used, thanks to social distancing). It was not crowded at this time, so we requested and received a lot well away from anyone else. Full hook-ups, all in great shape. The park is less than 2 years old, I think, and it shows. Everything is pretty much immaculate. Service was VERY friendly and the guy led us right to the lot in his golf cart. Nice and flat. Picnic table. Fire pit. We had lovely weather so sitting out as the sun set was a nice treat.

In the morning, we walked around the whole place, and they really do have excellent amenities, all still in great shape. The pool area (not open) looks very inviting and attractive. The club house, while simple, looked very inviting. A couple of bathhouses around and a couple of dog parks. A big outdoor pavilion with a batch of grills and sinks and loads of tables in case you want to have a big party. The casino, restaurants and hotel were all closed, of course...but if you were looking for a place to stop and eat at a decent restaurant and do a little gambling...this RV park puts you just a couple hundred yards from the casino doors. Would be fun!

(Since that time, the casino has reopened.)

    American RV Resort

Worst RV Park In The Country

Notice that American RV Resort, 13500 Central Ave SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121 was Good Sam Approved.

The night we pulled in our information was not available for our reservation (made it eight months in advance). After speaking with and getting disconnected three times with your 800 number, being left out in the heat as well as in the dark we called and spoke with your emergency maintenance man. He provided the gate code and a spot for us for the night. Half way through the night the power stopped working...essentially we paid for a parking spot.

The next morning we went to the office, after a 20 minute wait we were told that we needed to move to make way for someone else that reserved that spot (horrible customer service after screwing up our reservation). Additionally, "due to COVID" the park did not have enough staff to operate any of the amenities NOT EVEN BASIC amenities like the bathrooms and showers (we stayed in four other RV parks during that week, not one of them used the "COVID excuse" to not provide what was paid for).

We were then moved to another spot and again the power went out...this time we called the emergency maintenance man and we were told regardless of the 85 degree heat, that maybe it would be fixed that night but most likely not; again not even offering the most basic customer service of providing a spot that had working electricity. So again for a second night we essentially paid for a parking spot. Out of our entire cross country trip this reservation was the only one to allow us to pay for an experience at your park and not even deliver what we could have done for free in a Walmart parking lot.

As a business owner myself, I found it completely unprofessional to advertise services that you knowingly could not provide, and disparaging that this business would be so willing to take our money and not take the most basic of customer service steps of having someone reach out to inform us of the lack of basic services available. I reached out for a refund but have received zero response.

    Santa Fe KOA

    I liked it!

KOA Journey in Santa Fe was very quite nice. They have a very nice game room, each RV space had some privacy or a private fenced in yard or patio. Some of the spots were a little tight once you get your slides out, but since we were staying only one night, it didn’t bother us. I though it was a little pricey, but I generally think KOAs are overpriced. I really liked the location and would love to have stayed longer. The Wi-Fi was excellent. They have great full hook ups and laundry room and bath houses. The office had a nice supply shop as well.

    NomadLand RV Stay

A great place to stay with wonderful staff

NomadLand was the perfect place to stay while we visited family in Rio Rancho for 3 weeks. We were undercover with full hook-ups, this was very helpful in the hot NM sun. All the sites are flat and paved. They offer free internet, free filtered water, free bags of ice, free coffee, free use of washer and dryer and a free RV wash bay that has an"upper level" so you can reach your rv roof. The park is impeccably clean with new and clean restrooms and shower. The park is gated with cameras so we felt very safe in the middle of the city in a camper. Jessica and Dan were super friendly and helpful. We actually left to go home to NC and had to turn around and go back to NM after my sister-in-law became very sick over the July 4th holiday. I called NomadLand on the outside change they might be able to find a spot for us. I explained everything to Jessica and she said they would find a spot for us somewhere--that spot was the same one we had our first visit. We ended up staying for a month on top of our original 3 weeks. There is a Walgreens, Walmart Neighborhood Market, a brewery and restaurants all within 1/4 of a mile from Nomadland. Neighbors' restaurant is a great place to eat with a great beer list. This is the perfect place to stay if your looking for a base to do some sight seeing and don't need all the things a RV resort has. We would definitely stay here again. There are some campgrounds out there that need see how to run a campground well, they should spend sometime at NomadLand.

    Nice RV resort

We normally don't choose RV resorts but as RV resorts go this one is nice. There are large trees in the campground providing shade and a small grassy area between campsites. Level concrete sites with picnic tables at each site. Nice, clean laundry room and bathrooms. Unfortunately, the pool was not open during our stay. Would have been nice in August.

    Rancheros de Santa Fe

Nice campground with a few issues you should know about

We stayed here two nights in July, 2020. We're from Albuquerque, so this was just a quick"local" getaway. This is a pretty sprawling campground, with all kinds of sites(tent only, large sites with only 30 amp service, some sites with full hook up, others with just water& electric and a few water only. Shop carefully! We got a full hook up 50amp site. There is a row of these in the southwest end of the park. These are VERY narrow sites. We snugged right up against the hookups, and still didn't have room on the other side to put out our rug. There are low bushes between the sites, so the awning worked, but very little room for chairs and such. Also, the water pressure was quite low. Weakest shower I've had in our rig. Not sure if this changes with the number of campers, though, since it is well water. Our area was VERY busy and full of some big rigs(most from Texas). Oh, and wifi is spotty. Our site literally had a repeater stuck in the ground right next to our rig, and we got a strong signal, but pretty weak internet. I had better luck just using my Verizon iphone's hot spot. But it was still nice. It's got a rustic feel, but didn't necessarily feel run down. BRIEF interactions with the staff were friendly enough.

We also enjoyed the on-site hiking trail. It is only.5 miles, but making the circle a couple of times was nice on our last morning. I can certainly see us staying here again. It IS pricey(our two nights, with Good Sam Discount plus tax, came to $102), but that's Santa Fe for you!

    Black Mesa Casino

Can't beat the location or price.

This isn't an RV resort, but it is a great overnight stop on the way up to Colorado Springs. For $10, you can stay the night with electric hook ups and another $10 to dump and flush tanks. Far better than a rest area. The Casino is a fun distraction. The lot is all gravel and NO grass for pets, so watch for cactus. We have stayed many times and it's a good place to relax before the drive to COS/DEN. Nothing fancy, but reliable and good fuel prices too!

    A quaint pull-through park

A well organized park by a helpful staff. The pull-through sites are easily assessable and long enough for an F250 w/30’ travel trailer and not be detached. The park is clean and quaint. *Pet friendly but doesn’t allow “outside pet cages, kennels, or pet fencing” probably because they don’t want the dogs outside alone. Overall, and it being the first time visit I would recommend American RV Resort.@

    American RV Resort

    Great overnight stay

We stayed here one night in April, 2020, during the height of the Coronavirus shutdown. We live in Albuquerque, and just wanted to take our little Class A out to stretch her legs and let us have something resembling a getaway! The park is very in tune to the Coronavirus. Essentially, it's become a non-touch park...the gift shop/front desk is closed and all the transaction was done by phone, with our papers waiting for us on arrival. We asked for a spot with a little distance from others and they easily accommodated with a lovely pull through spot with a picnic table, some grass and some nice trees to either side. Some of the long term campers were still pretty close to each other, but based on signage we saw around, they are working to clear folks out and to be open primarily for overnight guests, which will keep the crowds WAY down. Needless to say, we didn't need to use the laundry or restrooms/showers. There are restrooms& showers in the main building and there is also a freestanding facility in the middle of the resort. There is a pool and hot tub...neither looks terribly impressive, but not bad either.

The overall park was clean, and the leaves were just starting to burst out on the trees, so it made for a nice spot. Electric was in good shape. The pad was pretty level, so we had little trouble setting up. The water hookup is below ground so that was a little bit awkward. We enjoyed sitting at the metal picnic table on the bit of grass we had, and I used our new portable grill for the first time! So why not five stars? Well, I'd do 4.5 if I could. The water hookup is a slight deterrent. And as others have said, the noise from the interstate is there when you're in bed, for sure. We were in the middle of the resort, but we could hear the traffic all the time. It is NOT terrible...a bit of "white noise" perhaps...but if you think this might be difficult for you, please be prepared. Although most of Albuquerque's nicer RV parks ARE right along the interstate, so it'll be tough to avoid! We had a nice stay, and look forward to a return visit.

    Beautiful and Affordable NM Stop

We stayed at La Vista for one night on our way through New Mexico heading to Utah. The owners are extremely friendly and were very helpful. They are a couple who own the park independently and you can tell the long term renters are happy there.

We woke up to a gorgeous view of the nearby scenery and were just a half mile from a Loves to gas up and head out for another day of driving.

Los Suenos rv Park is located in the hustle and bustle of Santa Fe. If you're not sure you will drive right by and not even see it. If you do manage to find it nice little park with full hookups laundry and shower facilities but that's it. All cell carriers seem to work just fine here.

    Route 66 RV Resort

    Well Maintained Park

We stopped here for an overnight stay. It is a well maintained, gated RV park. The level concrete pads were great and site had full hookups, Picnic table and fire pit. The only reason for giving 4 stars was that the cellular and wifi was intermittent but I think if you get a spot closer to the clubhouse you should be good. Beautiful mountain scenery, park had putt putt, gym, pool and other amenities but not all open yet. Staff was very nice. Would stay here again.

Great place to stop East of Albuquerque

This was a great place to stop East of Albuquerque, just 3 miles north of I-40. There aren’t many RV parks around and of the handful this is the one where you are going to get some space. There’s a playground for the kids and possibly some horses in the stables. It has full hookups and laundry and is very well maintained.

    It's ok.

Late season they shut the good sites down and corral everyone into 3 of 6/8? loops. But summer comes and they open and the place is still packed so...it's ok. Electric and water, no full hook ups that I saw, which is fine. $12 dry and $20 w/electric. The views are nice and the water is worth it despite the crowds.

This was are 1st time trying out our 5th wheel. We live in Albuquerque and wanted to try something close to home. This was a nice park located next to a lake that can be fished with a license. RV park is part of Isleta Casino and free shuttle service is offered from your Rv to the Casino. We would definitely stay again, only draw back is it's close to the railroad station and the train blows its horn. Paid about $35 nightly for full hookups.

    Overall Nice CG

This is an overall nice CG. Gravel roadways and relatively level pull through sites. Good FHUs. When we arrived, the office was closed. We reserved E010 but were told to pick any open space in the "A" row. There were quite a few long-term residents. The conditions were very dry and dusty. No shade trees, but the pines planted will eventually provide. This was a great CG for our overnight stay. We would stay here again.

Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post

    Fine short term

I can't remember how long we stayed was at least 2 weeks if not longer and there were some unsavory long-term residents in the campground I felt very unsafe and it was dirty and I wouldn't recommend it We would never go back again

    Good overnight

Full hook ups, gravel, rock, paved, or concrete pad. Mostly level. Nice bathrooms/showers and laundry. Easy access off of route 40. Close shopping. Good amount of space for campers. Some road noise but not too bad.

    Convenient

Full hooks ups. I believe it’s 40 amp and 50 amp. Great easy going owners. Helpful guide in employee for rig parking. Very convenient to have full hook up and be close to town.

    Coronado Campground

    This place is ok.

Old style city campground. Quaint adobe cabanas with picnic tables inside. Great location just off I25 corridor and less than 50 yard walk to a nice new brewery. There are a couple of long term residents, one of whom has completely packed the cabana with "stuff". Old restrooms, but adequate. Water and electric sites if you wish to pay for it. Dump station on site. Great view of Sandia peak and camp is situated right on the River. It even had water in it when we were there.

Quiet Spot off the beaten path

Roomy, pull-through parking. The slides and awning were fully extended without getting close to the adjacent sites. Office was open later than most and you can stay in open spots even if you arrive after hours! Quiet area with some long-term residents that was a nice break from the road trip!
