TravelerTake 305 south from Battle Mountain 20 miles. You’ll see the Mill Creek Recreation Area sign and turn left/ East. When you get to the stop sign, turn right. A couple of miles further and you’ll veer right at the entrance to the park. There are a number of level campsites near the creek, with BBQ and fire pits. There are two bathrooms, one on each end of the park. We were here on a Thursday in November and only one other camper in the park. For dark sky enthusiasts, this place is awesome. No services.
GuideI love the ability to come in and pick a spot and pay in the morning. It was so easy and convenient especially being the closest place. Loved i didn’t have to get online or talk to anyone at an office. They are VERY organized with arrows, labels, and instructions. Highly recommend. GuideNice quiet location near Battle Mountain to rest for the night and enjoy really beautiful night sky. Our experience was very quiet with only three other people there. The creek is mostly dried out but provides a nice ambient noise. Really clean restrooms but not much else to do.

There are both pull-through ($40) and back in ($35) sites. The sites are gravel and offer plenty of space between neighbors. We did have to level our rig just a bit. All hook ups worked great.
The dog ‘park’ is actually a huge fenced in lot and was very handy giving our 3 Aussies room to stretch their legs.
There was a bit of road noise at night but it wasn’t enough to disturb sleep.
$35 for full hookups in a very clean RV park? Definitely worth it!

We arrived about 8pm so used the self service envelope... they even accept credit card (we paid cash) Very clean park, nice wide, long spaces - PLENTY long enough for our 40’ Super C and Jeep in tow... they had a HUGE fenced dog park. Would stay again in a heartbeat.
GuidePlease read fully so you know. It was definitely a cute spot. stopped here from our trip from Indiana going to California. THERE WAS SELF CHECK IN WHICH WAS SUPER Convenient because we got in at 1130 pm & checked out at 8 am. I do really like the spot, the electric worked fine. It was a VERY quiet spot. But there is a lot of people parked, but you don’t really see them. There’s some swings & a basketball hoop. I would probably stay again. Only downfalls, the dog park & the showers. The dark run is HUGE but it isn’t that secure, there’s spaces under the park which dogs can easily slide under. But it is a very big dog run. The showers, they do cost money which kinda sucks when you are paying for a spot. But I’m not mad about it. For the complaints about the staff, I had no problem with the man in the office, but boyfriend & I talked to him because he stopped us & he was very nice.
