The Best Camping Near Pahrump, Nevada

Lakeside was highly recommended by a friend as an easy get away to a true oasis...and MAN was it ever.  Amazing landscaping and scenery, super friendly staff, lots of convenience nearby, and friendly campers.  The complimentary to premium sites paddle board and kayak rentals were closed due to COVID but that is understandable in this environment.  

Now onto the invasion.  As first I thought I was going to review the fearless ducks and geese who aren't afraid to show up around meal time in the hopes of some vittles.  Though they were aggressive, they were never dangerous and have given my kids a few stories they will share for ages.  The invasion I have to report on is....ants.  Our site was Site #1 and though I thought being close to the dumpsters was super convenient, so did swarms of carpenter ants.  We were overwhelmed with how many there were and how fast they found their way around every known barrier and trap we had at our disposal.  We stayed our full two days but didn't delay rolling out as soon as possible Sun morning.  

So...is the park worth it, absolutely!  But do not reserve spot #1 and be cautious of any site hear the dumpsters.

Great park, minus the invasion

Wow just when you pull in you see trees galore after getting here driving through the desert you realize you’ve now arrived in a little oasis. You can get lakefront RV spots which are so cool if you have a little canoe kayak anything and just jump on the lake and enjoy your day. Full RV hook ups complete shade because of all the trees a Casino in case you want to go try your luck gas station in corner store literally on the same property oh did I mention a swimming pool and volleyball courts? Well they have that to not to mention nice paved roads to ride your bikes and really a neat experience all around little firings random places to enjoy fires on a beach like sitting near the volleyball court overall this place has it all super amazing and super beautiful

Picnic tables, volleyball courts, nice pool, nice place to ride your bicycles a beautiful view to look at, a beautiful lake, tons of wildlife, well-kept and very well taken care of this little jewel is a great spot for families or if you wanna just go by yourself love it here absolutely amazing

Pretty as can be

Cute little spot with water front spots. Some of the lake front spots are huge, you can’t reserve a specific location but if you call they will usually try to accommodate a request. If you’re a bird watcher, this is a great spot to do it. 

Lakeside 

Driving here you wouldn't expect to see such an amazing rv park.  Lots of spots around the lake.  Full hookups and many ways to get a discount for nightly rates.  Has fishing,  pool,  disc golf, casino, and gas station.  Lots to do and everything you need that is walkable. Was given a free night from the rv dealership I purchased my rig from for this place.  Highly recommend staying here.  

Desert turns to tropical oasis

We spent a month at this lovely campground. The amenities are awesome with a small lake in the middle of the park. Our dog loved walking around the lake and spending time in the dog run. There's a cafe in the casino with daily specials. The convenience store and gas station on site are a plus as well. The sites are all FHU concrete pads with gravel parking. Very level sites that give you more yard than most campgrounds. The wifi is slow so bring a hotspot of your own for speed.. Seeing a hot air balloon pass over the campground on a sunny morning is a sight to behold. So much to do in a town only 40 miles from Las Vegas. Will stay here again if in the area.

Beautiful grounds

Came here for 2 night to break in our new trailer. Full hook-ups, level spot, plenty of space between sites. Customer service was excellent, friendly, accommodating for our after hours check-in. Security came by to make sure we were set for the night and had all the passwords needed. Lake was pretty, kids loved the geese. Excellent full amenities RV park just outside of Las Vegas, would stay again.

Good customer service, large spaces. It's a little older and a little behind on their maintenance, but we enjoyed our stay.
