    Great Views

We reserved for a night but wished we could have stayed longer. Very clean bathrooms and laundry. The sites were a bit close together but it was not full and they spaced us out. The full hookup was fantastic. The sites level. They allowed us to let our hunting dog run in the open fields. Also loved that they let their Christ light shine with a cross on the hill next to our great flag and country’s symbol of freedom.

Amazing spot right next to the river

The campground and cabins have been completely redone.  The new owner is amazing and very welcoming.  The cabins, bathhouse etc are all either new or remodeled.  The campground is located right on the Tongue River and is a convenient walk to everything in the town of Dayton.  I highly recommend this as a place to stay.

Self Service, Easy In, Easy Out, Clean, Safe

We just needed a quiet place to stay overnight on a road trip and this was a great option.  We made the review online and the way the process is supposed to work is that you receive a text or an e-mail telling you what site to park in.  Unfortunately I gave an incorrect e-mail address and had to call for support.  The park host was very gracious and directed me to my site and sent me a text with the essential information.

The park is close to two great eateries - the Tongue River Brewery (Pizza) and Innominate (which means un-named) coffee shop with an incredible array of pastries, quiche, and hot and cold breakfast-type beverages.

    Won’t regret your stay!

I am usually pretty doubtful about booking privately run campgrounds and try to mostly avoid them. However, this place was the exception to that rule. The place is pristine, nicely landscaped and it’s obvious they work hard to keep it looking so welcoming. All sites are pull thru with full hookup. Plenty of open area to get out and walk. We travel with 2 large dogs and the campground has excellent places to walk dogs. They also don’t mind your dog off leash if outside the “fenced”area. The store sells homemade food items and the welcoming free ice cream bars are a thoughtful and yummy touch. Ice can be purchased in the store. Bathrooms are exceptionally clean. Showers hot with good water pressure. Laundry facilities- 3 washing machines, 3 dryers which did become a high demand while we were there. One reviewer complained bitterly about the train keeping him awake. I’m a light sleeper and had no trouble sleeping. If I had found it troubling I believe our rv fan/a/c would “cover” the train sound. The sunsets are beautiful. This campground was a relaxing way to “recharge” after a long day. Peaceful and restful.

    Quaint

Such a nice campground. The husband and wife team were some of the nicest people I have ever met. They gave us a token for free ice cream. The Wi-Fi and cell data worked well. Nice views.

Convenient & Quiet with Onsite Bakery

We picked the Lazy R for a quick overnight stay on trip to Missoula, MT.  We weren't expecting much, given that we were tent campers staying in an RV park.  However, we were pleasantly surprised we arrived to find a nice grassy campsite for a our tent and clean restrooms and showers.  The following morning, we opted to skip making coffee and oatmeal for breakfast and instead visited the onsite bakery.  Winner, winner, chicken dinner!  Hard to beat rolling out of your tent, walking 100 feet and getting reasonably priced gourmet coffee and fresh baked pastries for breakfast.  I will definitely stay here again.

    Great people, tiny spaces

The owners are wonderful and all employees have been fantastic! The sites are very close and not at all separated. It worked for us, but we like more space.

Great place to stop over and stay a while

Stayed here two nights so I could visits Little Bighorn Battlefield on our way through. Just off the interstate, although down a washboard gravel road, so super convenient. Check in station has lots of local produce and homemade frozen meals. Was shown to my site that was only slightly off level, which is amazing since the park is on a hillside. Hookups were well located and maintained. Bathhouse was very clean and large. Laundry facilities were adequate, but only three stackable machines inside. 5 minute drive to the Battlefield if you wanna see it. Would definitely stay here again.

    Gem of a campground

Just stayed one night, but this is a gem of a campground. From the free ice cream when you arrive to the walking paths in the pasture to see the American flag or the cross, we thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay. Camp hosts are excellent and very attentive to your needs. Bathrooms are nice and clean and handicapped accessible. Only negative is, although there is a tree at each site, the afternoon sun can be brutal. But the host guided us to the most shady spot possible in our site. This campground is just off the interstate, but is quiet and has beautiful views. Would definitely stay here again.

    Best park yet!

We pulled in yesterday and were immediately impressed by the warm and professional check in processs. You are given a map of the camp that has helpful information about the surrounding area on the back (vet and doctor contacts, etc.) Charles leads you to your spot, which is level gravel and spacious. Each and every spot has an incredible view of the hills.

The camp is on a Mennonite farm, and the family has outdone themselves with making the surrounding area beautiful and clean. All sites are pull thru. No dog park but a great couple of trails up the hills behind the camp. Extremely family friendly. And just 6 miles from Little Bighorn Battlefield. We hope to be back!

    Family Friendly

The park is country centered in rolling grass pastures. The park is clean and modern and each site has a full size picnic table and grill. Bathrooms are centered in the park. They are clean and spacious. Also bathrooms are handicap accessible. Each site has grass even though the you park on gravel. I saw a sprinkler system on my sight. I was told they run it at night. The park has soft water well system. Very close to Custards Battlefield which is a most see stop. Management is very accommodating to your needs. I'll mark my calendar for next year to stop again.

Great place for seeing the battlefield

Very close to the Bighorn battlefield. Has full hook ups and we’re adding more while we were there. Also has electric and water areas also. There are trees in most sites but would probably be hot in the summer months. The owners are new(2seasons). Very nice Bathroom/shower area was very clean and nice. Really liked the large areas to walk dogs off leash as well.

    7th Ranch RV Park

Great park with views from every site!

We stayed at 7th Ranch RV Park in Garryowen, Montana in September 2021. This wonderful park is situated just a small drive from the Custers Last Stand and The Battle Of Little Bighorn. This is a family run park and working farm run by a family that has made this a must stop if you are traveling in this area . The sites are large pull-thru sites with FHU. All sites are tiered going up hill so everyone has amazing sunset views. Our site was a bit unlevel so bring your legos to assist in the setup. The sites all have trees and large grassy areas that are watered every night, so be forewarned. The road in is a dirt road which is a bit bumpy so slow down, as it’s only a short stretch till you get to the office. Big bonus is you get ice cream when you check in and who doesn’t like ice cream! They also sell homemade pies among other goodies in the office and they are delicious. Put this park on your list of places to stay when visiting Montana. It was an awesome stay for us. What a Find!

Can’t say enough about this park! The couple who run it are incredibly nice. Check in was a breeze and they give you tokens for free ice cream at registration. We were quickly escorted to our site. Sites are pull through and we did require a little bit of leveling. All hook-ups worked great.

Most sites have a patch of lush green grass and a tree for shade as well as a picnic table.

The laundry room has 3 sets of washers/dryers and if I remember correctly, it was $2.25 per machine. There was also a vending machine for detergent.

The bathrooms and showers were the largest we’ve seen and spotless.

A HUGE bonus was the additional 600 (?) acres to explore. Dogs are allowed off leash once through the gate and up the hill. The views are amazing from up there and it was the perfect spot to let the dogs run while we enjoyed the sunset.

The park was wonderfully quiet both day and night. There is a small play area and some horse shoe pits available.

Another added bonus was the freezer stocked with homemade pies! We picked up an apple pie to share with our friends on our next stop in Wyoming.

    Friendly, Quiet, & Clean!

Was just passing through on my way back home to CO and found this ranch. Made a quick call to see if there was availability and Ellen at the front desk was super nice and accommodating! I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. This is a ranch! Goats and cows and beautiful flowers and veggie garden upon entering.

The front desk area has local products from huckleberry jam to soap and honey!

Everyone was beyond helpful and nice! Charles (Ellen’s husband) showed me to my site which was along the entrance of an off leash open space area with a perfect view of the sunset!

As evening approached I couldn’t believe how quiet this full RV park was! Didn’t hear a peep.

Extremely relaxing! So much so I stayed another night just because!
