    Tongue River State Park Campground

    Great waterfront sites available!

Best to reserve your spot early if you want a waterfront site with power. If you are tent camping there are plenty of walk up sites. Fire pits and picnic tables at the sites and group sites are available. Outhouses are kept very clean and there is access to water throughout the State Park.

    Tongue River State Park Campground

    Wow!

Really amazing place. Thr vast majority of the sites are on the waterfront. Nice reservoir. I heard the fishing is great. Probably really busy in the summer. I visited in late October, so I pinky had one neighbor. Spaces are fairly private. Not many trees, fyi. Majority of sites have electric. Some double spaces on the water. Nice for groups. Picnic tables at each site. No wifi. ATT worked, my neighbor's Verizon did not. $30/ night with electric hookup.

    7th Ranch RV Park

    Won’t regret your stay!

I am usually pretty doubtful about booking privately run campgrounds and try to mostly avoid them. However, this place was the exception to that rule. The place is pristine, nicely landscaped and it’s obvious they work hard to keep it looking so welcoming. All sites are pull thru with full hookup. Plenty of open area to get out and walk. We travel with 2 large dogs and the campground has excellent places to walk dogs. They also don’t mind your dog off leash if outside the “fenced”area. The store sells homemade food items and the welcoming free ice cream bars are a thoughtful and yummy touch. Ice can be purchased in the store. Bathrooms are exceptionally clean. Showers hot with good water pressure. Laundry facilities- 3 washing machines, 3 dryers which did become a high demand while we were there. One reviewer complained bitterly about the train keeping him awake. I’m a light sleeper and had no trouble sleeping. If I had found it troubling I believe our rv fan/a/c would “cover” the train sound. The sunsets are beautiful. This campground was a relaxing way to “recharge” after a long day. Peaceful and restful.

    7th Ranch RV Park

    What a Find!

Can’t say enough about this park! The couple who run it are incredibly nice. Check in was a breeze and they give you tokens for free ice cream at registration. We were quickly escorted to our site. Sites are pull through and we did require a little bit of leveling. All hook-ups worked great.

Most sites have a patch of lush green grass and a tree for shade as well as a picnic table.

The laundry room has 3 sets of washers/dryers and if I remember correctly, it was $2.25 per machine. There was also a vending machine for detergent.

The bathrooms and showers were the largest we’ve seen and spotless.

A HUGE bonus was the additional 600 (?) acres to explore. Dogs are allowed off leash once through the gate and up the hill. The views are amazing from up there and it was the perfect spot to let the dogs run while we enjoyed the sunset.

The park was wonderfully quiet both day and night. There is a small play area and some horse shoe pits available.

Another added bonus was the freezer stocked with homemade pies! We picked up an apple pie to share with our friends on our next stop in Wyoming.

    7th Ranch RV Park

    It's a green oasis for a Ranch

Everything one could ever want without having stores close by. There is a gift store that sells prepared meals. The bathroom/showers look newly remodeled. Washer and dryers available. The wifi was not working but they can fix that easily. The sunset is breathtaking and the free Huckleberry ice cream sandwich is NOT forgetful. I will stop by again.

    7th Ranch RV Park

    Beautiful, Clean & Friendly

Beautiful and roomy! You don't feel like your neighbor is right next to you. They have grills and picnic tables at every site. Nice bath house.. The hosts are very nice and truly appreciate your business. Warning: the last mile or so is a dirt road that is very rough, so go slow!

    7th Ranch RV Park

    Family Friendly

The park is country centered in rolling grass pastures. The park is clean and modern and each site has a full size picnic table and grill. Bathrooms are centered in the park. They are clean and spacious. Also bathrooms are handicap accessible. Each site has grass even though the you park on gravel. I saw a sprinkler system on my sight. I was told they run it at night. The park has soft water well system. Very close to Custards Battlefield which is a most see stop. Management is very accommodating to your needs. I'll mark my calendar for next year to stop again.

    7th Ranch RV Park

Great park with views from every site!

We stayed at 7th Ranch RV Park in Garryowen, Montana in September 2021. This wonderful park is situated just a small drive from the Custers Last Stand and The Battle Of Little Bighorn. This is a family run park and working farm run by a family that has made this a must stop if you are traveling in this area . The sites are large pull-thru sites with FHU. All sites are tiered going up hill so everyone has amazing sunset views. Our site was a bit unlevel so bring your legos to assist in the setup. The sites all have trees and large grassy areas that are watered every night, so be forewarned. The road in is a dirt road which is a bit bumpy so slow down, as it’s only a short stretch till you get to the office. Big bonus is you get ice cream when you check in and who doesn’t like ice cream! They also sell homemade pies among other goodies in the office and they are delicious. Put this park on your list of places to stay when visiting Montana. It was an awesome stay for us.
