Potosi Campground
Potosi Campground, near Ennis, Montana, is a straightforward spot for those looking to enjoy the great outdoors without too much fuss. It’s got the basics covered with picnic tables and fire rings at each site, making it a decent place to kick back after a day of hiking.
The campground is clean and well-kept, though it’s on the smaller side, which some visitors found cozy. You’ll want to bring your own water since there’s no spigot on-site, but the nearby hiking trails are a major draw. As one camper noted, “If the campground is mediocre but the hiking is fantastic, then it’s a win-win for me.”
You’ll find Potosi Creek running through the area, adding a nice touch to the scenery. The surrounding woods provide a peaceful backdrop, and if you’re lucky, you might spot some wildlife while you’re out and about. Just a heads up, the road to get there can be a bit narrow, but it’s manageable for most vehicles.
If you’re in the mood for a little adventure, the hot springs nearby are worth the hike. Many campers have enjoyed the tranquility of the area, making it a solid choice for a weekend escape. Whether you’re camping in a tent or an RV, Potosi Campground offers a simple yet enjoyable experience in the heart of Montana’s natural beauty.
