Crystal Creek Campground

Water activities draw visitors to Crystal Creek Campground, where Crystal Creek flows nearby and provides fishing opportunities within Deerlodge National Forest. This US Forest Service campground operates from July through September and accommodates RVs up to 16 feet with drive-in access.

The small facility features just three campsites, each equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. A pit toilet serves the campground, though campers should prepare for bugs during wetter seasons. The secluded setting keeps noise levels low. For those wanting more developed amenities, Gird Point offers additional facilities to the west.

Where is Crystal Creek Campground located in Montana?

Crystal Creek Campground is located in the Bitterroot Valley of western Montana. This small, secluded campground sits along Crystal Creek, surrounded by beautiful Montana wilderness. The campground is relatively remote, providing a peaceful natural setting away from crowded areas. Its location makes it a good base for exploring the broader Bitterroot Valley region.

What activities are available near Crystal Creek Campground in the Bitterroot Valley?

The area around Crystal Creek Campground offers numerous outdoor activities. Hiking trails wind through the surrounding wilderness, providing opportunities to explore the natural beauty of the Bitterroot Valley. Fishing in Crystal Creek is popular among visitors. Wildlife viewing is excellent in this secluded area. During spring and early summer, visitors might encounter more insects due to the moist conditions, so bug spray is recommended. Can I bring an RV to Crystal Creek Campground?

Crystal Creek Campground is not ideal for RVs due to its small, rustic nature. With only three camping spots available, the campground is better suited for tent camping or possibly very small camper vans.
