Flint Creek Campground, located on Highway 29 in Wiggins, Mississippi, and an easy 35 miles north of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, offers water fun for the whole family. The park is comprised of 1900 total acres and features a 650-acre lake with 13 miles of shoreline stocked with bass, bream, crappie and catfish offering excellent fishing 24-hours a day. The lake is also a favorite for boating, water skiing and swimming. Aluminum boat rentals are available. Landlubbers can enjoy camping and picnicking all year round. With 152 fully developed camping spurs, 34 vacation cabins, and 12 camphouses, Flint Creek is a terrific place to spend weekends or vacations. Campers can enjoy swimming at their own private beach, or just enjoy nature, taking a hike down the nature trail, fragrant with daisies, honeysuckle, roses and red clover. Wild turkey, deer, squirrels, and ducks and other waterfowl can often be found along the lakeside. At lunch or dinner, enjoy the picnic area equipped with barbeque grills and picnic tables. For added convenience, Flint Creek also has 1 private pavilion and 2 enclosed lodge halls. Every July 4th holiday, the water park holds it annual Fireworks Display enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. An annual haunted forest is held the Saturday before Halloween. The business district of Wiggins lies two miles outside Flint Creek's entrance gate which features grocery stores, specialty shops, fuel, a hospital, golf course, camping, bait and fishing supplies, video rentals, and restaurants.
Once a main railway for lumber in Hancock County, this small 34-acre homestead, acquired in 2010, is home to a variety of farm animals, edible landscaping including multiple varieties of fruit trees, herbs, perennial vegetable beds and small annual vegetable gardens.
Completely wooded at the time of purchase, the farm is still a work in progress. Daily farm life involves upgrading fences, training the vines in the 5-acre muscadine orchard, building animal pens, installing rain catchment systems, composting, harvesting, canning, baking, and our favorite……. feeding the furry and feathered friends.
Pitch your tent in our wooded acreage nestled alongside the Bayou La Terre creek bed. Relax on the sand and watch the squirrels play or close your eyes to meditate with the sounds of nature. A true primitive camping experience awaits you. You can fish in the pond for your own dinner and gather eggs for breakfast.
Try snacking on farm breads and biscuits with homemade jellies. Depending on the season, picking wild blackberries, newly planted (2021) blueberry orchard or some of the farm produce available gives a glimpse into the daily life of living at Creekside Farm.

This horse trail is approximately 23.7 miles long and moderate in difficulty. Big Foot Horse Trail consists of four loops ranging in length from 5 to 11 miles. A ride of almost any desired length can be made by combinations of these loops. Most of the trails run parallel to roads, making it possible to enter the trail at any point.
Facilities at the camp include: parking areas; hitching rails; primitive camping; sanitary facilities (chemical toilets); drinking water for horses only (not for human consumption); picnic tables; and grills. Two ponds and Tuxachanie Creek provide water for animal use.
Big Foot Horse Trail and Camp are open year-round unless weather conditions require the area to be closed. No user fees required.

We had an amazing time at Creekside! I stayed here with three friends over the weekend and it was the perfect getaway. We booked the yurt, which came with a super comfy bed, a few extra snacks and even some art supplies to use. The campsite was very spacious with easy access to the creek.
Alicia was a lovely host and we had a great time at the biscuit class in the morning, which included free snuggles with her pups. We will be back!

Me and my husband wanted a nice little getaway from the house so we decided to try out Clear water. It’s a very nice and relaxing rv park. I told my hubby it’s a retirement home but for campers 😅 a lot of snow birds from Michigan! We had a great time especially loved the fire ring we had on our lot which was great to have during the cold weather. Most of the other campgrounds I’ve been to haven’t had any kind of fire rings. The man that runs it takes very good care of the campground and when you buy firewood he actually bring it to you at your lot which was really great! They had a beautiful lit up pond with a fountain and water wheel at night. We had our two daughters with us which they loved going on a walk around the park and looking at the ducks. Just about everyone is friendly there. I’m going to go ahead and give it 5 stars but I wish there would have been a playground in the campground, but I understand they typically have snowbirds and not a lot of young couples with kids. But it was still nice and we really enjoyed it! They had a park down the road so we decided to just drive and take the girls to it. There is also a family dollar/dollar tree and a dollar general down the road which was about less then 4-5 mins away which was great and very convenient.
ScoutCountry, beginning of a bayou (like a creek), pups, chickens, ducks, outdoor shower and loo (both with privacy), and each tent site has fire pit/picnic table, cleared ground for setup. Outdoor dinner areas with tables, grill, fairy lights and plants galore. I had a LOVELY time here! Sorry I don’t have more photos, so busy enjoying my time there that I forgot to record it.
ScoutThis quiet campground is spacious. They limit the number of campers so this really does feel like primitive camping in the woods.
GuideFlint Creek is our go to for a quick weekend camping trip. The spots are big, although there are a few waterside ones that are more of a deck style and limit lateral space. With a few different loops, there is a variety of spaces throughout the park. There is even a primitive camping spot for those folks who want nothing to do with modern necessities.
The park itself is huge with a few beaches in and out of the camping areas. Folks can get sites on the water and pull their boats right up next to their rigs.

All the hookups worked great and I had a nice lake view spot. It was pretty quiet on the Thursday evening I camped in early December, and I’ll be coming back again.
ScoutThis is essentially 3 separate campgrounds under one location. Sites with sewer hookups are scant & located on sand & dirt sites..we were told we could go into the Mohawk campground and try to find a cement site with sewer hookup, but we found what looked liked homeless encampments (long term residents)...There were also sites with just a pup tent or canopy on them, which led us to think people were paying for 1 site and staking claim to several others.. We found a pretty, concrete, flat site in Seneca campground & some guy came running out demanding to know if this was our site.. Overall, it seems the ‘residents’ run the place...The bathhouses were filthy and trash was overflowing out of cans. We did not stay, but they were gracious to refund our money..Disappointing the campgrounds are unappealing, since the natural areas are so promising.
GuideSecond time at Flint Creek in Wiggins Mississippi. Stayed during the middle of January of 2021 on site 29.
The back of the site backs up to the lake, with plenty of beach to fish or hangout. This site would be perfect during the summer if you wanted to swim. The site had full hookups with 50amp connection. Plenty of space between sites. Also there are several shower/restrooms located throughout the Seneca Campground.
Only thing negative about the site was that it was not level. I had to add an extra step to get in and out of my travel trailer.
Will definitely go back.
RangerPrimitive campsite had lots of trash on the ground (kids socks, plastic, toilet paper). Port-o-pottys were disgusting. Stayed one night on my cross country drive and it was one night too many.
GuideSite 141 was in a very wooded area at the far end of all three RV areas. We stayed during the second weekend of Dec. weather was brisk with a small amount of rain on Saturday. Had a beautiful view of the water where you could fish. This spot was so quiet and peaceful, no road noise was heard the entire 3 days. There were a few other campers in neighboring spots but the rest of the area was sparsely packed.
The only issue I had with the spots were they were all uneven, but somehow I was able to level my 37’ travel trailer on the first try without any leveling aids.
The only thing I had negative review of was how low the water spigot was in the ground. But overall I would stay in this exact spot again.
GuideMy boyfriend and I car camp and try to stay in primitive areas for the lesser (or no) fees. This site was $15 for primitive camping but included a water spigot as well as port-o-potties. There were also fire rings at each camping site.
We stayed here during Halloween and it was pretty crowded. We prefer more secluded camping sites, and this campground provides plenty of space despite being so packed. There were several RV campgrounds that had decorations and trick-or-treating.
We didn’t have any problems with rowdy kids or quiet time. Everybody was mostly respectful. We did encounter coyote, deer, and lots of talkative geese, so be prepared for some wildlife interaction.

GuideFlint creek has TONS of sites with full hook ups in 30 and/or 50 amp and even a primitive (water only) tent sites. Different sections allow folks to feel like they are away from the crowds. Price is absolutely reasonable and there is night security by staff and local law enforcement.
The water park has a ton of slides and will keep kids young and old entertained sliding down the hill into the lake.
Several swimming holes and boat ramps lets you enjoy the lake however you want.
GuideFlint Creek has a little of everything for everyone. There’s a large lake which is good fishing (there’s a boat launch in the park and in the campground itself) beach swimming areas (one for day use and the other for the campers) there’s an updated water park with slides and a lazy river. The water for this is pumped in from the lake so it’s not a fresh blue water like in a swimming pool! There’s a section of first come first served campsites and a section of reservation only sites. All the sites are blacktopped and are very nice. The bathhouses could use some attention though. The town of Wiggins has lots of restaurants and grocery stores very close by.
ScoutThis is a great place to camp. Swimming, boating, hiking, fishing, and small playground available. The water park is not anything “great”, but it’s something for little kids ($12) per person.
ScoutThe best sites are the first come first serve sites. These sites are in the Mohawk area. I would avoid the Kahaka area if you want a beach area as there isn’t one. All the bathrooms have no air conditioning. There are boat launches and many sites that you can anchor your boat at or near by.

TravelerLoved, loved this Campground...This was always our go-to. Lake is always great. Nearby Hiking trail a few geocaches and then there is the water park... I grew up in the old water park and it was great but when they upgraded, and it needed an upgrade bad, all the prices for pat Harrison went up... They have just started clearing the brush around the campsites, much needed, but there are so many things that are in disrepair and are taking a back seat to the water park. The bathrooms are always clean and in great working order... And the views of the lake are phenomenal. I gave it the rating because I see so much potential that is not being used.
