The campground sits roughly 3 miles south of Sand Lake Campground — Manistee National Forest, offering campers a more developed alternative to the national forest's rustic sites.

From Baldwin: Take M 37 north 16 miles to Irons Exit, turn west and go six miles to Irons (there will be a Lake Osceola Bank on the right). Turn south and go one mile to 9581 Brooks Rd. From Cadillac: Take M 55 6 miles west of M 37, take Snyder Rd South to the park.
