Best Tent Camping near North Berwick, ME

So I had gotten a tent site for 4 days and Roxanne the old bag in the office does nothing but talk about everyone & everytime you put in for a reservation she says I can’t give you a tent site 🤔🤔 but yet I’ve been nothing polite and

Clean bathrooms and spacious tent sites. You can choose to have a tent site right on the bay or off of the bay view. The bay view sites are our favorite, we get front row seats every morning to the sunrise on the water, we just have to peek outside our tent. So beautiful! One of my favorite campsites!

Cape Ann Campground is located close to Gloucester and Rockport. The campground is clean and quiet with beautiful tent sites. The RV sites are not as secluded as the tent sites. Clean Bathrooms and pay showers (5 cents). The owners are very helpful. Call and they will help you find a spot if you have questions.

So my fiance and I we had called and asked if they had tent sites they put us at 9T ( which to any other campground T with the number means tent) but the owner comes up this morning being a complete ass saying that it wasn’t a tent site & that we requested to move sites and now all of a sudden it was a problem so paid 60?which was supposed to be paid for two nights & basically told that we had to pack up and leave with no refund & a very sour taste in my mouth from that campground. I will never return

Site wise it’s more of a rv camp but they do have some tent sites. I would recommend mosquito repellent.

We had a great time camping and going to the beach. The camp ground is full of beautiful boulders and fire pits. We were tent camping and were very happy with our site.

Friendly staff, clean facilities, nice pond. A great getaway for a night or month for families of all ages. Both RV and Tent sites available.

Smaller more seasonal place for RVs, some tent sites way in back. No playground except for some old broken plastic things, the grassy knoll where the playground is really is the sewage tank buried with lots of ants!! The shower house was broken so we used the one in the office which was filthy and small. The tent area abuts private property so we heard chainsaw noise until 10pm each night. The tent sites were close but we only had one neighbor. Walk to spigot. The kids loved the pool which was well maintained and clean with floats. This was the best part! The office staff were nice and the cost is reasonable.

We arrived just before check in closed for the night and we were escorted to our site which was small but it was a tent site.

While on the road on a Saturday night, it was difficult finding an available tent site for Saturday night only in the area. Called Desert Dunes and the man helping me couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. We weren’t even sure if we would make it but he posted a campground map with my name on it and directions drawn out to an available tent site. We got there well after dark and ended up with a great little site (T3) and lucked out with no neighbors. The desert tour looked very cool but will have to wait for next time as we had to get back on the road.

Great seasonal RV park with enough tent sites to satisfy demand. Steps from Short Sands Beach and within ear-shot of the animals in York’s Wild Kingdom. Truly a unique experience.

Beautiful views from the tent camping sites. a7 was real nice. My only complaints were the toilet paper was so thin I could barely pull it (so I brought my own) and the planes. Not horrible but something to consider… I would definitely go back

Location works well. Very narrow road coming in after 128. More for smaller RVs and tent camping. Picnic tables could be replaced. Grass was cut while we stayed which is a good thing as it was quite long. We might stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay here - we prefer tent camping and like to be secluded; we are not into RV parks. This was fantastic. Beautiful trails, excellent kayaking, quiet and serene. We will revisit again soon.

ETA: The composting toilets were clean

They charge 50 dollars for a tent site with no electric, the spots are right next to eachother and touch the bath house. There’s more rules than a state park.its easy to get in and out of.

Nice little campground with many amenities which unfortunately shut down the weekend before we arrived. Clean restrooms and showers. Tent site unfortunately flooded with an inch of rain during storm. Noisy even though fairly empty. Lots of barking dogs.

Quick review on Hidden Valley RV Park/Campground —

Owner, I believe her name was Donna, was wonderful, welcoming & very accomodating! Pros: friendly staff, wknd campground activities to do if you’re looking for some socializing/mingling, a little pond for fishing, a pool, a bigger pond that had a little beach, quiet at quiet time (minus saturday night karaoke running a little late but it wasn’t like annoyingly loud), large campground, if you golf there’s a golf course, they have a restaurant & a nice little camp store, bathrooms were decent & free hot showers. Little swimming beach located on the grounds.

Cons: quite a bit of trash throughout the campground on the sides of sites, picnic tables were ready to fall apart, many of the tent sites had little to no separation without trees in between the sites (note-we asked for the most secluded tent site & was given a site that had a little separation), only one main bathhouse with porta potties spread out throughout campground.

Overall, a nice little spot to go camping.
