Very friendly family run campground. Very clean and well landscaped complete with a pavilion and plenty of grills.
Campsites trashed. Campground trashed. Dump station overflowed and closed. Toilets broken, plugged or poop all over toilets and floor. People parking 4-30' campers in one site, on the grass. One person left in the evening, got stuck and had 1' deep ruts. Had to leave to get another truck. It didn't…
The only downside for me was the campsites were not very private. They are basically in a center median in between the roads. But the trails were really cool with lots to see including an amphitheater inside a big cave! The views from the outlooks are great on multiple sides. And the little camp…

Definitely needed WeBoost to make data functional. Verizon worked best of my carriers. Visible had zut coverage. ATT and Cricket were usable with WeBoost. Stayed on B-loop - really steep road. Limited TV coverage. Lovely foresty sites, pretty level. Elec & water. Bathroom excellent, very clean.…
Really loved staying here- close enough to the beautiful hikes and climbs of the area, and far enough to feel really private and woodsy. Since it was so warm, we took a dip in the lake. Our site was spacious and pretty, with plenty of room for our two tents and a hammock. I will say we found a few…

This has ranked #1 for campgrounds for our family this season.
Nestled in the mountains of eastern Kentucky, this campground has all the things your family could want to do in nature.

Limited Wifi, only 2 bathrooms, RV camping is not so great in that campsite are close to the road. Tent camping looks much more pleasant down by a lake.
We stayed at one of the walk in sites and loved it. We felt like we had the forest to ourselves. Beautiful area with amazing hiking. The
Stayed at Middle Fork Campground in March 2021, love Daniel Boone National Forest and love the hikes/views at Natural Bridge but the campground is not what we had hoped for. Primitive tent sites are almost right on top of each other with little to no foliage to create privacy. Tent sites are a hike…

As the title says, it is a nice campground, and we would recommend it to anyone, but actually getting a reservation is difficult. I tried for two years before I finally got a reservation. While we were camping (last weekend in March), I checked again and it was all booked up 😨 all summer, crazy.…
This was my first time at this spot and I will definitely be coming back! I was wary because of the price but it exceeded my expectations. Very easy to find and the staff were very helpful. I slept in a truck tent and when it started to snow they offered to move me to a warmer spot just in case.…
We stayed here for the first time this past weekend. Awesome campsites and extremely well maintained. It’s pack in pack out but that’s no problem. The only word of caution I would give is the low water crossing. If a big storm came through you could be stuck in or out.

The campsites are great and spaced out nice! Most sites have small pea gravel and are very clean. Bath house is open but no showers are at of March. Three great trails that you can do right from the campgrounds. Miles more within a few minutes drive

This was a nice, quiet and primitive campground. The sites were nice and spread out. The bathrooms were clean. I would definitely return to hike some of the trails.
