With the development of the Rickett’s RV Camp, overnight stays in the Park are now permitted. This fee-free primitive camp offers a vault toilet facility and 13 individual RV parking pads, each with a picnic table and fire ring, but no electric or water hook-ups. Additionally, a large open area is available to accommodate oversized rigs and equestrian travellers. Corrals are located adjacent to this area. Stays are limited to 5 days. Any overnight parking and dispersed camping are prohibited anywhere in the Park outside of a designated campground.

With one of the longest camping seasons in the Idaho Parks system, Bruneau Dunes State Park offers camping opportunities throughout the year. Campsites and cabins are available with plenty of first-come, first-served sites too. Bruneau Dunes State Park boasts the tallest single-structured sand dune in North America with a peak rising 470 feet above the surrounding desert floor. Explore the dunes in your hiking boots or rent a sand board from the Visitor Center, but off-road vehicles are only permitted on the main road. You can also fish for bluegill in the lakes at the foot of the dune; unlock the mystery of the desert with a breathtaking hike or horseback ride; plan a group picnic or visit the Bruneau Dunes Observatory and gaze at the night sky through the Observatory's collection of telescopes. (Observatory open Friday and Saturday evenings, April through mid-October.)

The RV Park is located on the east side of the fairgrounds and has 80 spaces with full hook-ups (water, sewer & 50 amp power); and 100 hook-up with (water & 30 amp power). Spaces with amenities are $21.20, tax included per night. Dry camping with no amenities is available for $10.60, tax included per night. Pricing is subject to change during special events held at the fairgrounds. You will need to contact the fair office for pricing. No livestock are allowed in RV area! Arrived a bit late and didn't have a chance to explore but lovely landscapes. Enjoyed the protected shelters, but it was very windy. The showers and flush toilets were closed for the season, which kinda sucked but the pit toilets were clean. Would visit again!

Showed up late October around 6. It’s quiet, just out of town and there are toilets places I guess (didn’t use) and a fire pit by my site. Didn’t use either. Cold (34* last night) rainy, super windy, but felt safe and free is great 😊

Stayed three nights in mid-October. Got real cold at night, but having electric made it bearable. Not to far from Twin Falls and all it has to offer. Much less expensive than parks closer to town.

Would definitely recommend this spot. 21$ dry and I think 40 full. Nice big grass areas with a few trees. Probably really hot in summer but we were there in fall. Careful of the sprinklers they come on early. Nice big clean showers/bathrooms( family style).

GuideIt’s hard to believe this place is free. Nicer than some National Forest campgrounds with the same amenities. Pit toilets and that’s it. The toilets were clean and the one by our site even had a light on! It was a quiet stay and convenient to see Shoshone Falls, and resupply at Costco or Walmart just to the north in Jerome. Don’t skip the scenic overlooks at the bridge on highway 93, beautiful views, and we even watched a couple base jumpers there

ScoutSnake River Canyons Park- Rickett's RV Camp offers a peaceful and convenient location for an overnight stay. The campsites are mostly clean and equipped with fire rings and picnic tables. While the area is quite dry, it provides a safe and hassle-free experience. Nothing fancy. The Sherrif did a drive through at dusk(a feature I like) and the camp filled up before the sun had set. The availability of basic amenities such as pit toilets and horse corrals adds to the convenience of the site. If you're looking for a quick overnight stay this is a great spot that is pretty much a free campsite complete with a site host.
GuidePulled into this area, easily, without any obstacles. The sites were plenty to choose from, clean, and had a table with a fire ring. Watched an awesome sunset and moved on the next morning. Not much here other than the basic stuff to spend the night and feel safe. I will stay here in my travels again. Area is very dry right now.
TravelerMost of all sites have a Pavillon and the sites on the river has a direct lake access. In my opinion the campground is a little bit open and there is not so much privacy. All in all I would give the campground 4 stars BUT I'm very disappointed from the camp hosts work. He doesn't really care about the people and the campground. From beginning till end on our site was dog shit on the waterstation, all of the tables was very dirty and also trash on the sites. Also the sprinklers work absolutely random. When we woke up on the first day, our stuff was wet. We build a cone by ourself so we can use the site for three days. The camp host shows up the first time an hour before we left and he told us, that we can have a cone from him. Never the less the campground is beautiful rounded by murtaugh lake and the restrooms are mostly clean.
GuideThis is an RV park, but I used a tent. Ground is very rocky, but was able to stake it fairly easily. This site is very close to the town, like a quick 5 minute drive. Road is very accessible as well, you won't have any troubles getting to this site unless your suspension is held together by duck tape. Toilet was as clean as a camp toilet can be! My only real negative is that there were a lot of people and pets around that were making noise, but it wasn't that bad. Oh, and there is absolutely no shade at all.
GuideNice smaller county campground surrounded by farmland and on a lake. Not very busy for early June. Gravel interior roads and campsites with power and water. No sewer or dump station. Pit toilets, clean. Sister campground across the bay. The only problem was the large number of voles running around and burrowing holes everywhere.

I loved that this place was close enough to town that I didn’t have to cook. Haha. If you’re an atv or mtb type, tons to do here. But if you’re looking for scenery, all you will find in this campsite is the occasional amazing sunset which I was lucky enough to catch. ;-)
TravelerThis site is Free and easy to find, and not too far off the main road. There are a dozen or so marked sites with their own tables and fire pits. This site is surrounded by trails used for ATVs and Bikes. It also has one bathroom on site. No Hookups.
I stayed there for a night in April of 2024 while passing through and it was a convenient and hassle-free location. Decent Cell service

ScoutDid not shower there but bathroom was clean and had one shower. You can pay by credit card and slip payment ( around $20 even if not using electric) As stated make sure there is not an event going on if planning a stay here. I don’t recall any services being close by - but check the map.

TravelerWhile the dunes at Bruneau make for some fun sledding, my favorite part is the star gazing program offered by the park staff during the summer. A new telescope facility is being completed and will be open by June of 2023. We weren't able to use it, but we were able to look at smaller telescopes the staff had out. They also used lasers to point out constellations in the sky. When the weather is clear, the stars are just amazing!
For camping, I recommend the Broken Wheel loop. A lot of the sites have a shelter over the picnic table, and they are also spaced out more than the Eagle Cove loops. Most of the sites have water and 30 amp or 50 amp service. The park has its own dump stattion you can use on the way out.
GuideCampground was good. Great view of night sky. Super windy, tents beware. The showers at the Eagle Cove campground were awful. The water barely dripped out and had that sulfur smell that sometimes comes from wells.
