Another beautiful stay at Sunset Point. Fantastic spot. Great beach and close to town. Thanks again to our fantastic hosts, Nadine and Mike!

We camped right on the reservoir and watched the sun set from our site. Nice allocated areas to set up tents on flat ground and a good sizes fire pit. Just know there’s no firewood left to scavenge on the grounds.
Just a couple small things: There was lots of big rigs (although not right next to you) and you could hear highway 34 for a good portion of the stay.
We attempted to find a spot here for the week of the 4th of July. In hindsight, we should have known this would be difficult at a first come, first serve place. We arrived about 9am and hung out to see if anyone would be leaving but to no prevail. The sites are close together and it is definitely not made for super big rigs. There is a camp host available for questions. It’s on the pricey side at $28/night. We will be back!
I arrived around noon on a Monday and there were a few spots. I stayed at 15 which was spacious and had a little trail to the lake. Plenty of room for two tents. Bathrooms were the cleanest I've ever seen at a campground. Spigots for drinking water, but no place to wash dishes/etc. I was in a tent only section, but did hear some RVs nearby. A family at the site next to me was pretty loud - kids crying all night. Also could hear some traffic from main road. Otherwise it was relaxing and calm. Lots of hikes nearby. Lovely sunset, helpful host!
This is a very nice campground nestled in pines on a beautiful lake. There are trails to the gravel sand shores of the lake. Vault toilets are well-kept. Campsites have trees, picnic tables, and lantern hooks. There are no hookups but there are double sites.
We chose tent campsite 15 because the tent pad had more protection from wind off the lake than 16. Most sites have a stone lined walkway directly down to lake. Sunset views over lake from campsite. Nice spot to hang a hammock safely. Good T-Mobile cell reception. Non flush toilets in fair condition. Awkward parking for sites 14-16. 16 parking right in front of site 15. 15 parking almost blocks access to site 14.
Nice campsites, good area for RVs and campers. Host was really nice and informative. Currently a fire ban, no big deal! First come first serve sites here as well.
We stayed here for 3 nights with our 23ft motorhome. It is a easy accessible spacious campground that is well maintained. The host is very friendly and helpful.
Small campground but fully treed and camphosts friendly and informative. First come first serve. Drinking water on campground at both vault toilets. Great access to Lake Granby with private access at the campground. Most sites are shaded and are very private. Campground is small and fills up fast during the season. Noisy on weekends with all sites filled up. Will stay here again when visiting nearby Rocky Mountain National Park.
First off their hosts Frank and Michelle are amazing! They are out first in the morning - early evening making sure everything in the camp is in order. There are a few hike in sites but most accommodate RVs. Plenty of trees for privacy especially if you're on the lake side. Typical NFS vault toilets but clean. Dumpsters for trash. Water spigots but not with threads so you can't hookup a hose. 7 day stay in Arapahoe. Easy access to Rocky Mountain National Park.
This was our favorite campground this summer. We moved from Stillwater CG on the other side of the lake and what an improvement! CG is filled with pine trees.
Sunset is a small campground with all FCFS sites so it fills quickly. The lake was a 100 ft walk from our site and had a pebbly beach all to ourselves that was a great place to hangout for the afternoon. It made a super launching point for paddle boarding and canoeing.
Restrooms were very clean and each site has a new picnic table and latern hanger post.
There aren’t a ton of campgrounds in the area and I would say it is one of the best. The grounds fill up quickly though and as far as I knew, it was first come first serve and there was only two spots left when I showed up at 4pm on a Thursday so get there early if you can. Check out time was 1pm so no rushing there. The camp hosts were a bit... talkative but super nice. Nice walk to the lake within 30 seconds or so. Only downside was how close all the sites were to each other and for $26/ night + pet fees not the best bang for your buck to to speak. Not a ton of privacy but otherwise a great spot.
We were lucky enough to snag one of the tent camping sites at Sunset Point, which had direct access to the lake and awesome views! It was great to be able to launch our paddle boards directly from out site and hang out on the shore during the day. The wind picked up in the afternoon but usually calmed down by 6pm or so. The location is great with only a short drive to Rocky Mountain NP and several awesome hikes in the Arapaho Bay Area. The towns of Gramby and Grand Lake offer plenty of amenities as well!! The campground is small with only ~25 sites, which helps keep traffic and noise down. There are two restrooms on site, each with two separate vault toilets. They were cleaned daily and in good condition for being pit toilets. We felt like we had plenty of room between sites and everyone was very friendly. We didn’t experience any major issues, but we were told from others that it can get loud on the weekends. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and will absolutely be coming back!
Campground was pretty quiet despite being full. Most of the sites are a pretty decent size, and the lake is very accessible. Bathrooms were clean and staff was super helpful. We got hit with some crazy wind/rain but it passed fast.
The sites are close together with little private space. we were lucky to be a short hike down to the lake where we could bring our chairs and play in the water. There was a fire ban, so no campfires at this time. Not so sure I would go back because of the crowds.
