Busy, busy, busy!!!

We attempted to find a spot here for the week of the 4th of July. In hindsight, we should have known this would be difficult at a first come, first serve place. We arrived about 9am and hung out to see if anyone would be leaving but to no prevail. The sites are close together and it is definitely not made for super big rigs. There is a camp host available for questions. It’s on the pricey side at $28/night. We will be back!

Get your spots early!!

This campground is pretty big, but fills up fast! There are two camping loops, both include pull-in & tent only sites. Each site has a fire ring with a grate & a bear box. There is a flushable bathroom & garbage bins available on each loop. They also have a camp host for each loop where you can purchase firewood. All sites are within walking distance to the water front but none are located directly on the water. All in all, a beautiful campground with friendly hosts & people! My only complaint is the rates are $25/night plus $8 for extra cars. Just a bit pricey in my opinion!

A beautiful little spot !

First off, a bang for you buck compared to some surrounding camp sites. They have PLENTY of sites, most with some view of the water. They have a boat launch, bathrooms, and showers. We stayed here 3 nights. The shores are quite rocky so it can be difficult to access the water just to swim. Overall, it was great. My only complaint is there is only one trash located in the beginning on the park & it was full, full, full!!!

Sleep with the Buffalo!!

What a sweet little spot! This is a 22 site, first come first served campground - no reservations & a 14 day limit. We visited in June & it was BUSY. The sites were all full by 4pm - but there is room to squeeze in extra tents/cars! There are no fires allowed here but there are two bathroom, and plenty of trash cans. The best part though is I can almost promise you’ll get up close & personal with some buffalo. Be respectful!!!

A Hidden Gem!

Wow! The beauty! We stayed here midweek in June - the place was empty. There are at least 40 sites, including 2 group sites, & equestrian sites a little further down the road. The rest of the sites are pull-in & pull-through sites. All the sites have a fire ring & picnic table. There are 2 outhouses, 1 large trash collection, & a group “day use” area with a beach & swimming! I cannot recommend this spot enough, & at $11/night!? What a steal! You can pay at the pay station upon arrival.

Lake camping meets farm life!

What a beautiful camp site. The ground has plenty of sites, almost all that have a beautiful lake front view. We stayed during the week and it was pretty quite - cows moooin’ were the loudest noise all night! There are walking trails, beaches, a boat launch, and bathrooms. We stayed at a non-electric but there are plenty of hookups to go around too. Happy camping!

BIG but beautiful place

We do a lot of dispersed camping but we spoiled ourselves with this spot. It was $50 for a tent site but I have never used a cleaner camp shower or seen so many amenities on a campground. They were also very accommodating of our late check-in as we travel across the country.

Hot hot hot

Cute little campground by the pond. We arrived pretty late. Cute campground, but boy oh boy is it muggy. Between the heat and the pond near by be sure you’re prepared for damp, muggy, and buggy conditions. Otherwise cute little place. There is a bathroom- I didn’t need it but its there!

BEAUTIFUL VIEWS

Unfortunately, we were able to stay here as there were no open sites but the view itself is breathe taking. As it says in the name is RIGHT off the highway so be ready for lots of car noise and close quarters with other campers.

Best Lakeside camping around

Stayed here in late May. The place itself is absolutely stunning. Bathrooms are clean. People are polite. The grounds manager even has his own site and told us to let him know if you needed anything to just stop by! This place is free though the manager did mention they were going to start charging a fee soon (rightfully so to be honest).

You can drive out on the reservoir beach, but only camping at sites.

Enjoy!!
