Spots pretty spread out and amazing views. Will be back for sure! Water and bathrooms available. Firewood for purchase from rangers. Nice little trails within the campground too! Make sure to catch the sunset over emerald bay from the top of the walking trail towards the middle of the campground.
Looks like most people lived here. Good place to stay when needing a rest on the way back from or to the mountains, but it’s not much of a destination stop.
Has all the amenities though! Pool. Bathrooms. Showers. Hookups.
It was a very nice camping location however there is virtually no signage to direct folks to a campsite number- very poor . The roads are paved, but are in horrible condition.
Sites vary in size. Make reservations on recreation.gov and make sure the site you pick is adequate in size for your vehicle. Many sites are pull through, although mine was a bit tight to pull in due to a Joshua tree and vegetation on one side. The site was fairly large and nice picnic table.
Public restrooms' are available and Wi-Fi is available near the main building.
This is a nice location if you want to be close to shopping and also close to the main entrance to the National Park.
So beautiful! The lake is nestled in the mountains. The scenery, fishing and water sports are superb! There are ample campgrounds with spots from tent camping to RV camping. They also have group camping right on the water! If you love mountain lakes, don’t miss this one… and book early!
My family and I have been going to this campground since I was 10. I am now 30, this year my husband and our 1 year old got to experience it they loved it! It has a spot for every kind of camper from glamping RV style to roughing it. There are bathrooms and water. A creek goes through the middle and is great in the summer for a nice cool down.
Walmart in Reno doesn't allow overnight stops and the Cabela's was doing parking lot renovations and we needed a quick overnight place to sleep. I called the casino first to make sure they were ok with us staying the night and they said as long as we stayed furthest west in the parking lot. 2 other RVs stayed there and it was a quiet night. Call first to gain their permission!
Wonderful weekend in November! Free too!
If you’re going to camp at Tahoe, this is the spot. Hidden in the trees on the cliff side of eagle point. SO BEAUTIFUL!!
