Welcome to Windsong Ridge, an evolving homestead on 25 acres of oak, pine, and manzanita woodland about 30 minutes outside of the historic gold rush towns of Grass Valley and Nevada City in Nevada County, CA. The property overlooks the iconic South Yuba River canyon and is 100% solar-powered and off grid with excellent cell coverage (Verizon and T-Mobile). Come be serenaded by the wind chimes throughout the property. Enjoy sitting by a fire and you may hear the coyotes in the distance after a day of swimming, hiking, paddling, site-seeing or attending one of the many festivals held throughout the year in town.

We are at 1800 feet, therefore the summers are hot (sometimes in the triple digits), and winters are mild (snow is a surprising event at this elevation).

Manzanita Rock Meadow is a pad for a high clearance van, small RV and/or tent with plenty of room to spread out and set up camp. IMPORTANT DETAILS are provided on our site description.

    • Hike the adjacent trails on public lands or enjoy hiking trails in the state park along the Yuba River.
    • Bring your kayak or paddle board to Englebright Lake at any time of year.
    • In less than two hours, you can visit Truckee, Lake Tahoe, or the Sierra Buttes/Lakes Basin areas and much more.
    • In town you will find a variety excellent restaurants, farmers markets, live entertainment and wildly popular events throughout the year.

We’ll be happy to help you plan your visit! (Start by checking out https://www.nevadacountygold.com/)

    Charges & Cancellations

No Show Policy A no-show customer is one who does not arrive at a campground and does not cancel the reservation by check-out time on the day after the scheduled arrival date (or for day-use facilities, by check-in time the day of arrival). * No-show customers are only recorded at staffed facilities. At most remote facilities, all customers are noted as automatically checked-in on the date of arrival. * It is recommended that staffed facilities hold a campsite until check-out time on the day following the arrival date. * It is recommended that staffed facilities hold group day-use facilities until check-in time on the arrival date. There is no change fee if a customer extends or shortens a reservation if the change includes dates from the original reservation. If they choose to depart early, they may forfeit some or all of the recreation fees. There is no change fee if the customer changes campsites that are the same price and on the same reservation dates in the same campground. If the campsite the customer is changing to has a price difference, the customer will be responsible for any additional fees or be provided with a refund, based on the price difference. Where recorded, no-show customers are assessed a $20.00 no-show fee and forfeit the first night's recreation fee for a campsite or forfeit the entire day-use recreation fee for a day-use facility. We recommend customers contact the facility if they are en route to their reservation but cannot make it by the check-in date. In these cases, no refund will be issued, but the facility can ensure that a "no-show" fee is not assessed.

      Lakeside

*pros: great little market, very nice staff, clean, great views *cons: rocky watch your step, especially at the beach and a long the shore. Recommend water shoes, although this may only help a little as the rocks are quite large and when can trip over them as much as step on them. they are not round river rocks, but pointy and painful to traverse. *my stay: I was only here for two nights and on the second morning some people pulled in and pitched a tent at 4:30 in the morning. They weren’t particularly loud, but they did curse and had their flashlight bright enough that it shone into my site and RV. Overall, it was still a very pleasant stay for the two nights.

Pack those trailers as tight as you can!

There was absolutely no space between the trailers, to the point I hit my head on my neighbors slide out while setting up.  There was no mention of the WIFI being out, but you got to only find that and your space number out when you got there.  70 bucks a night what a RIP!  The second star was at least they had shade, but too tight to even put out the awning.  NEVER again,

A great place to stay in Graeagle, CA

It was a great RV park to stay at in Graeagle, California. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is great. The town is only 1 mile from the RV park and you can easily walk there. I highly recommend the Graeagle Outpost for coffee, ice cream, and more.

It would be even better if there was more space between each RV spot. It feels like your neighbor is right there in your business all the time. They put up fences to give some semblance of privacy but it doesn't really help because they are only partial fences.

      GREAT Stay in Oroville

BEST campground (resort) we’ve ever stayed!

Even without the countless amenities, this KOA has incredible staff & service. The front desk was super welcoming. They gave us treats and toys for each of our pups. Every time we’ve been into the store the customer service was superb and security drives around at all time to check the place out. 🤩

The amenities were great but some surprise bonus’ were the big game room, TWO doggy pens. A doggy bath and the most clean campgrounds I’ve ever seen. This place is VERY well cared for. We drove 40mins daily in & out of here to visit family and I’d absolutely stay here again.

      Great place!

We spent the weekend for my wife’s birthday. It rained most of Friday and into Saturday but we had a great time. Steve at check in was very helpful, the little store is cool, and the campground is walking distance from the historic town of Coloma and the Argonaut for breakfast and lunch (and Gelato!) Pool, playground, basketball and soccer - will definitely be back with the kids soon.

Everstoke - Camping & Glamping MTB park... by a brewery in the amazing Lost Sierra!

      Camping

I went to Everstoke a week ago. Based on my camping experience here, I would suggest to those who intend to come here to experience some camping styles. Traditional campers can choose from spacious tent sites where they can pitch their own tent, 2 player games and enjoy a rustic camping experience. For those looking for a touch of luxury, there are luxury accommodations, offering comfortable and stylish tents equipped with amenities like cozy beds, private bathrooms and even fire pits.

Everstoke - Camping & Glamping MTB park... by a brewery in the amazing Lost Sierra!

There's nothing quite like Everstoke in California!

I've been visiting and camping at Everstoke frequently since Brian (BKXC on YouTube) and Aaron (MTB'ing Adventures on YouTube) purchased the 91 acres a couple years ago. What an undertaking it has been! But 2 years later, they and hard working friends have created something very unique, in a truly fantastic location!  You just have to experience it to believe it. Seriously.

Besides being able to build fun trails, and then riding those trails, my favorite things about Everstoke are the campsites nestled in the trees, without another campsite or 3 right next to me. I really enjoy the hang out area, meeting other guests and trading stories about where we rode, where everyone is from, and giving people suggestions for hitting all the other epic trails in the area. And it truly doesn't hurt that Everstoke is right next door to one of the coolest breweries I've ever visited (The Brewing Lair).

Four of my friends stayed in the "tiny house" during the Everstoke Enduro on 9/17/23 and were very stoked on it. Please let your not-so-campy friends know there's a great non-camping option at Everstoke that has all you need but the food and drinks you will consume!

Lastly, Everstoke has only just begun.  I think there are about 10 miles of riding on the property currently, and that's only on the bottom third of the 91 acres. So much more fun to be built up higher on the property! If you have ideas for trails and features, come on out and make them a reality!

      Hot

Overall Collins Lake was a nice camping resort. They have a lot of sites and the facilities are clean. We went towards the end of July and it was 107 degrees. Dogs aren’t allowed on the beaches so we didn’t go down to the lake, which would have been nice to cool off.

It was a good trip despite the heat. It would definitely be better if we had a boat or water “toys”. I would go back, but not in the summer.

      Right on the Feather River

Location is great especially if you have a boat to launch or just enjoy being at the river.

Campsites were nicely laid out. Being in the summer, busy as you might expect. Walking around, it looked like several were  full time residence not necessarily camp hosts. Some had spider webs growing on them they were sitting so long, others were taking a part, repairing and painting their RV's. Sierra Nevada brewing was a 20 minute ride in the event you are looking to slake a thirst in the hot weather.  Staff member Chera was great with the reservations and information.

      Crap hole

Stinking flea infested cats roams the property, while infecting your rig with fleas from cats making make shifts homes under your rig. The property is dirty, bug infested, unsecured, fake man made mud hole of a so-called lake. The gall of them to call this place a"Resort" is definitely appalling. The staff tends to lean more on the racist side by having different sets of rules for the African American patrons. I definitely feel sorry for the African American lady that works in the front office having to endure the racial elements from management( the 2 greasy fried chicken eating cows) as well as her co-workers. The front office staff are convinced that piece of dirty crap of a mud hole are some type of relaxing place for families, NOT. That place needs to be torn down. Lake Minden is a dirty drug infested, bug infested, stinking cat infected, trailer trash, of a melting pot for dirty drug addicts, STAFF INCLUDED. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CRAP HOLE TO ANYONE.(DON'T EAT THE🐠)

I stayed here for a spontaneous mid-week campout and was impressed. Super clean restroom facilities, access to the river, a nice store, and friendly customer service. II only have a camper van but was forced to take an RV site which had amenities I didn’t need. I asked if I would have 120 V access and told I would but there was only 30 amp 240 v. Totally useless for me. Also when I made the reservation I was told check in time was 3 PM and found out later it was 4 PM. There was very little information about what I was getting online, so I depended upon the reservation line to give me exact information. When I called once I got there, the guy was totally rude about it and not helpful at all.

      Movin' West RV Park

      Quiet, clean, and beautiful

Check in was super easy with the host George escorting us to our site. We went with a group and we were close enough together for hanging out. Short walk to town for a morning of mini golf. Even though the park is close to the road, I didn't hear anything. Memorial day weekend George hosted camp-wide dinner of BBQ tri-tip and kielbasa. Was nice not to have to cook and it was delicious!
We had friends come for the day, no worries at all. The kids scootered and rode bikes along the camp roads, and drivers were cautious and patient. The showers are extremely clean, private, and comfortable. Seems like everyone complied with "camp shower" guidelines as I had good water pressure and hot water for my short but satisfying shower. The restrooms are equally clean. There was a vault toilet closer to our site, and they are cute and also extremely clean with good odor control and plenty of supplies. We have already booked for next year!

      Great site awesome area

It was a little challenging getting our 16’ trailer to the pad but it was worth it. So quiet and serene there. I don’t think the bigger rigs would be able to make the turn into the site and the road to the entrance is a bit rough. Don’t miss visiting the covered bridge at South Yuba State Park!

      Great spot close to home

We’ve been to Collins Lake a few times and we love it! Lots of different camping spots and the lake is stocked with fish. Ice cream at the store is a must. Wi-Fi connection at the campsite was better than good. Don’t recommend using the last shower on the left in the bathhouse close to the beach. No water pressure at all. Bring your bikes if you have them because the ride to the dam is nice. Spot 73 is an okay spot. Water spigot is way too short and there was a lot of mud and water that wouldn’t drain from site. It’s not listed as such but you can pull through. Anyone that says this place is too crowded with RVs so close to each other has never been to an RV park. At least this place has trees!

      Great Little Lake

I am a member of Thousand Trails and that being said this is one of my favorite TT spots in California. Family friendly, great little Lake for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding. RV sites have partial hook ups. Thousand Trails does not reserve campsites so it can be quite a scene to find a site especially in the summer. Only one dump station was open (there are 3) so waited 30 + minutes to dump, hopefully management is working on that… they do offer a honey wagon service for $40.00 available 2 times a week.
