Caspar Beach RV Park & Campground

Easy access and great store, with access to fire rings, tables, showers, potable water, dump station and trash receptacles. The tent sites are beautiful, but a bit too close to each other when there are dogs involved.

We were here for 3 nights and enjoyed the summer concert series on the grass and the close location to a private beach across from the Rv park. 

The spaces for Rv’s are tight, but we made it work. Tent camping is much more spacious. 

The weather was humid and cool. It felt wonderful for July!!

Spacious sites for tents. RV area is packed. I highly recommend the tent area in the back of the campground. Great location! Nice fire pits.

Do not expect refund even when it is their fault, not worth the stay

We had two different RV spots in the back by the restrooms, which were not working There were plenty of port a potty’s on the property and clean , shower floor was  beyond gross they machines were either jammed or you’d put your $ in to get 1/2 the time you payed for There was a wedding party in the tent area which was fun I would go back but only in RV or camper so I had my own bathroom

The store closes at 5pm for check-ins, buying firewood, getting change for the coin-op showers. Also, hookups are kinda shared between RV sites, so make sure you have your converter plug for 30/50 amp.

Conveniently located between Ft. Bragg 6 miles to the north and Mendocino 3 miles south. Points of interest include Caspar Beach right here in the cove, Pt. Cabrillo Lighthouse ~ 1 1/2 mi. south, Botanical Gardens in Ft. Bragg, Russian Gulch SP, the town of Mendocino which is the main draw for many.

Caspar Beach RV Park was a beautiful place to stay. I truly enjoyed my time there. A forest of trees right across the street from the crashing surf. Lovely! It has a wonderful tent camping area back away from RV's in the Redwoods and many other trees. RV parking was neck to neck but I enjoyed the sense of community and friendliness.

The thing that keeps me from giving this a 5 star rating is the fact that they charge for showers. There was no mention of this in any literature I read so it was a surprise when I went for a shower and saw the coin box. For $5 you should get a good shower but you won't here. When my quarters ran out and I put more in, all I got was cold water. Also, beware as the sizing on their hoodies is incorrect!

My family decided on this spot for our anual camping trip. There were 6 adults one late teen and two children. We tent camp. Our spot was nice and clean and next to the creek. Large enough for our three cars three tents and extra table and plenty of room to set up chairs around the fire for us. The beach across the street is on an inlet so the surf wasn't bad. Porta potties we're every few spots and the bathrooms with flush toilets and showers were just a short walk. The staff and camp store were great. They even had a band on Saturday for entertainment. The only negative and this is not their fault we're our night visitors. Beware the skunks are plentiful and used to human interaction as with the raccoons. Keep your food secure and don't get yourself sprayed and you'll be fine

It’s pricey, but the location can’t be beat. The front half is narrow RV slots, but further back, it’s lush, shaded and pretty quiet for tent or car camping. My spot (13) had a babbling stream next to it, and empty spots on all sides. If it was busier, you wouldn’t have much privacy.

This is a tight and wet park. It is inside a gully that gets very little sun. I stayed the end of December through New Years. There is a beach in front. Shopping in Ft. Bragg is 15 minutes away. Not a bad place to hang out. But damp.

Crammed in Mobile home park that allows tents and RV $48.00 plus Taxes.

Great location close to the beach, close to Mendocino and Fort Bragg. The problem is that the spaces are very narrow, especially if you have slide outs which means that your neighbor's sewer hose is next to your door. A lot of very short spaces also which makes it worse. Poorly maintained hookups. Not too clean either.

this has already been written but the map and location are not correct.  This campground is very bad.  The campground is overrun by a redneck RV community.  The bathrooms and showers are gross.  No one adheres to COVID social distancing or mask regulations.  Most of the campsites are very small, next to a gross stream of water that is stagnant water.   Wifi doesn't work.  the beach is quite cool and close to Fort Bragg and Mendocino so the location is great.  The people suck and i'll never return to a campsite owned by this group.  Furthermore, i probably wont go to privately owned sites at all.  we have camped at a few dozen state and regional campsite which were all better experiences.

BEACH CAMPING!! It is awesome! Bring ear plugs because it is a popular campground. 

The store has everything you might need while out camping and it is literally across the street from a beautiful beach! 

This is a LARGE campground and can accommodate all types of campers. There are even tiny houses and cabins for those less willing to lose the comforts of home. 

The RV sites are right on top of each other in the entrance but they open up in the back field(we weren’t able to get back in there since we were just tent campers). 

They are high on security here. I LOVED the list of activities that were happening around the area. It really helped you get involved with the local ecology. 

There is a big gazebo for fish cleaning. Laundry room and propane for sale.

I was lucky enough to spend four nights here last winter. It was breezy and rained on and off. The walk in sites are secluded and this park has all the amenities including free showers. Dog friendly. I hear it gets very busy in the summertime. There are a few year round residents, and it’s fun to stroll through the RV section of the park, but also fun to go back into the trees and get away from it all.

Just doing this as a warning for others using this app, this is not the real location for the campsite it brings you to a random oark you can’t sleep at which is 6 hours away from the actual site

This was a nice campground very close to the beach. Great place to take kids. The RV spaces were very tight and close together. We were concerned about getting our 36 foot motor home out but with some maneuvering and backing up, my husband was able to get us out. We explored the tent camping area and it is beautiful, secluded, and spacious. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and the store is well stocked with good prices.
