Wonderful Campground

Our family loves this campground. Camp here at least once a year for the last 10 years or more. Campground is always clean. They have a few flushable toilets as well as hole toilets. Location is close to local store. Very popular spot for fishing. Normally sites are hard to get on the weekends or holiday weekends

Fishing and Caving Together!

Located along the banks of Hat Creek this is a place for those who like to fish.  Cross the road and you will find a Lava Cave to explore. Down the road is historic Burney Falls. This campground is my favorite along Hat Creek.

These sites have the usual amenitites - table, fire ring & food storage. Many are right on the creek itself.  They are well spaced for privacy and the campground is not that big. Some of the sites are right on the road which can get noisy with the trucks. Try to get one back by the creek.

If you feel up to it the Pacific Crest Trail is nearby and you can do a leg.

There are showers down the road for rent in Old Station.

Great Fishing

Vault toilets are the only draw back. This place is on hwy 44 near the Hat Creek region of Lassen. I like this place because you avoid the tourist type campers you will find in the Lassen National Park

Love this campground!

At only $16 a night this is a nice campground in Lassen National Park. Pretty standard, all the normal stuff like picnic tables and fire rings. Cool to find thu-hikers from the pct out wandering in the park. Subway cave is across the street and really cool to explore.

Great sites! Family friendly

Found the camp and sites easily right off the highway across from the Subway Cave. Visited for the night with my oldest son’s Boy Scout troop, troop 16. Tent sites were flat and free of major debris and rocks. Fire ring was put to good use. The Camp Host, Gary was very friendly and introduced himself and offered to help in any way he could. We also enjoyed a very entertaining magic show by one of the camps frequent guest, Clancy. Flush toilets were clean and well stocked, minus hand soap or sanitizer. It was an easy walk from the site to the subway cave lava tube, which was the destination for the quick trip, is not to be missed. We neglected to bring fishing poles by observed many anglers returning with trout for their camp fires. Park Rangers we’re friendly and inviting.

Will return again!
