Best RV Parks & Resorts near Gillett, AR

Several RV parks near Gillett accommodate various camping needs. H&G RV Campground offers full hookup sites with 50-amp electrical service, water, and sewer connections on gravel pads. "Gary was great, most helpful and it was a pleasure talking with him," noted one camper about this small RV-only park that requires 30-amp adapters for some rigs. Rising Star Campground, open March through October, provides water and electric hookups with a sanitary dump station and spacious sites along the Arkansas River. Tar Camp features big-rig friendly spaces with 50-amp hookups and water connections, while Pendleton Bend offers riverside camping with electric and water hookups suitable for larger vehicles.

Many campgrounds in the region have variable cellular service, with Pendleton Bend notably having "absolutely no cell phone signal and no WiFi." Dump stations are available at several locations, though sometimes at a significant distance from camping areas. Most parks welcome pets and have basic amenities like toilets and trash disposal. H&G RV campground

    We really liked it!

An overnight stop on our route. Gary was great, most helpful and it was a pleasure talking with him. This is a rather small campsite and I recommend advanced reservations. Two pull through sites that do not have sewer hookups but there is a dump station if needed. Electrical hookups are 50 amp so have an adapter if you need 30 amp service. I’d certainly recommend it.

    Pendleton Bend

    Nice people, basic facilities

I stopped here for one night with a travel trailer and was in site B-01 for $16. The sites are spacious. For example, the water hookups are half way between the sites to be shared, and my 50ft hose just barely could reach. It is pet friendly and we had fun sitting on a dock and watching the cargo boats. There is absolutely no cell phone signal and no WiFi, so have physical directions on you. The park is only a couple miles from Arkansas Post National Memorial which was very beautiful and worth a visit.

    Cane Creek State Park Campground

Our first camping trip was a great success. We camped 2.5 days at Cane Creek State Park in Star City, Arkansas.

Our Review: The camp sites were very nice, all had either 30 amp or 50 amp electric hook ups and water. The electricity was super convenient with having the space heater in the tent. Most of the sites have nice views of the water too! It was a little too cold to fish but from what we’ve gathered from the visitor’s center they have some decent fishing and lots of other activities! Cane Creek offers several options like fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, biking, etc. There was a boat dock specific for campers closer to the campsites. We were very pleased with the bath house which was really clean and fairly central to all campsites. We will definitely be back when it warms up to test out the fishing!

    Wilbur D. Mills

    No host, unkept

This is several miles beyond Pendleton Bend. No host, very unkept, dirty, mostly a fish camp with long term campers. Could be much nicer with a little attention. Lead photo is from Pendleton Bend NOT Wilbur Mills. 2024

    Nice Corp park

Good, clean campground. Family friendly. Great fishing. Merrisack Lake joins the ship canal to the Arkansas River. Fabled White River National Wildlife Refuge, America’s first national refuge, close by.

    Notrebes Bend Park n- CLOSED

    WAS a great park

Closed now due to river erosion and damage to boat ramp. Hope they get it back up to par and re-open. Used to be a beautiful spot with bathrooms, covered picnic tables, grills, and fire rings. Also had electric and water hook-ups. Needs to open!
