Food & Energy Self-Reliant Tiny House/RV Village

Closed For the Season

This campground is closed for the season from November 1, 2024 through April 9, 2025.

Description

We are Daniel & Patti AngelsAgrarian and have been working on our homestead to develop it for our food and energy self-reliance since 1990. (See the photos we have provided.) Our homestead is located on a dead-end road and is peaceful and quiet, with a year-round stream running through it. In this area, there have been numerous wildlife sightings in the forested land available for you to explore and enjoy. A gravel road is maintained by the County, which provides easy access.

We manage our homestead as a self-reliant food and energy one, so if our campers would like to tour what we have created and maybe participate, this would be a bonus rarely found at other campsites that are being offered. We can, freeze and preserve our produce and have a root cellar where we store root crops for our winter use, so we are serious about this lifestyle.

At Tiny House/RV Village, we offer camping sites that are under development. For pure water, a sand well will be driven having a hand pump, but ideally, one would need to be able to produce one's own power, be equipped with a composting toilet, and/or have grey and black water storage tanks that you can empty for free at highway weigh stations. A WiFi connection is available to your cell phone via our Starlink Internet and an access point, but we have no way of knowing how this will work for each camper.

In addition to the camping sites we offer, we have permanent positions that might appeal to some campers. One is for a jack-of-all-trades handyman who owns a self-contained RV, Tiny House, or Schoolie, or we could offer him the use of a newish travel trailer. Your role would be to provide management, maintenance, and security to the seasonal or permanent campers. The other is for a female housekeeper who has vegetarian cooking, cleaning, and organizing experience and has a New Age spirituality background. A quiet, meditative, clean, tidy, cooperative type of person would be a perfect match in our home. If you are interested in either of these positions, discuss the details with us.

What inspired us to live as we do and offer the two permanent positions, was the result of what the Hopi Elders advised at http://www.communityworks.info/hopi.htm. They know where humanity is heading in this crucial age of disruptive changes we have entered.

Let us say we realize most who are seeking seasonal camping will be traveling, so you will not necessarily be interested in what the Hopi are pointing out. The only reason we mention their advice is while enjoying camping on our land, know that you have the option of speaking with us about setting up your Tiny House/RV on a permanent basis here so you can quickly and easily access and participate in a setting where self-reliance is being practiced and lived.

The Hopi advice is what sets us apart from what one might encounter at other campsites. They ask and say, as we do also…

"What are you doing? What are your relationships? Are you in the right relation? Where are you living? Where is your water?" Additionally, "Know your garden," and realize that "The time for the lone wolf is over." All the Hopi are saying is that it would be prudent for people to think about where one wants to be and with whom before one is overtaken by the social, economic, environmental, and other shifts currently unfolding around the world. Additionally, "We are the ones we've been waiting for."
