GuideRiverside State Park has a magnificent equestrian campground on the west side of the river. The main campground has electrical hookups, horse corrals & pit toilets. With permission, overflow camping is available by the arena facility and readily accommodates "high lines" for your horses. Many miles of trails intersect at this point, or close by. There are many hiking, biking, fishing, kayaking and even ORV activities in this huge park. We visit frequently, but spring and fall are probably the most scenic times.

There is also an arena, round pen, and trail training course a quarter mile up the road from the campground. For large groups and/or overflow, permission may be granted for camping in adjacent areas suitable for high lining horses. Even though this area is only 20 minutes from our home, we frequently camp there just for fun!
LegendWe spent 3 weeks at Liberty Lake Regional Park while visiting our son and grandkids in Spokane. The road in is a little narrow, but once in, it’s a great little campground. Most of the sites are fairly level. We stayed at 2 different sites over 3 weeks, and both were level. They are close together! They provide a fire pit if you want one. Picnic table, water and electric. The dump station is quite a drive, back out, up the hill. There is a clean shower/bathroom building and a beach within walking distance of the campground. While we were there the campground hosts did a fantastic job of keeping everything clean and tidy. Several hiking trails, including an equestrian trail, waterfall, fishing and lots of wildlife. There were deer in the campground every day, we saw moose, owls, pilated woodpecker, and hawks. We were there over July 4th weekend and they had a fireworks display on the beach.

There are 16 regular RV sites with water & electric, and they have added 3 sites on top of the hill with full hookups. Also 12 tent sites. Close to Spokane. Hiking and horse trails.
GuideWe were very pleased with this RV park! We stayed for two nights so my wife could attend a conference. This facility is located very near the general Fairgrounds and next to the horse park. No horses are allowed at the campground but stables are very near by in the Fairgrounds. The sites are all pretty level with the parking areas paved. Grass and groomed gravel areas too. There are various sized sites most are back in. When checking online, and that's where you must reserve your site, there is a very good map with the site lengths listed. Our number 1 site was over 60 feet long and large for our 34 foot long 5th wheel and our Chevy truck. Most of the sites are full hookup with 30 and 50 amp electric. Water and sewer dump. There is also a sewer dump station with 4 dumps, located just west of this park. There is NO wifi provided in the park, but being pretty centralized in the area, cell service is very good. I had full bars of 4G service on my AT&T 5G phone. There is a building with bathroom and showers available if needed, at the south end of the park. Our site was just along the road and it was pretty noisy but it did calm down at night. Dogs are allowed but must be leashed and picked up after. For a Fairgrounds campground it is a bit pricey compared to the other Fairground Camping we've utilized, this is still a very nice facility and we would and probably will use it again.
ScoutThis place is such a well put together establishment, it has the most beautiful breath taking sceneries. It also seems like the perfect atmosphere to reallly beable to bond with your horse, so you both can be comfortable while being train together. I would recommended this place to whomever is a horse lover.

ScoutDid not have reservations but got lucky with an open site. Make a reservation ahead of time if you want to be guaranteed a site. The campground is full and a bit loud. But very clean and well maintained, including the bathrooms. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. Multiple water spigots close by. Lots of walking trails nearby and a cool suspension bridge over the river. Other than the lack of solitude, absolutely no complaints.
GuideTucked back behind a neighborhood of fairly luxurious homes and sitting near the lake, these sites offer a nice spot to catch a breath while traveling. We stayed at tent site 10 and it has been perfect. $27/night for tent and $38/night for RVs. Pet friendly, great host, facilities, and plenty of space.
