WELCOME to THE WILDERNESS, a family friendly camping facility right in the heart of Magnolia Texas. Whether you're a solo camper, you're wanting a getaway with your family or you're looking for a place to host a group camp out, THE WILDERNESS is perfect for your fun-filled outing! As an extension of our overall ministry. You will park in our designated parking lot and hike in to the trail head and make camp at your site. Each of our 12 sites has a picnic table and fire ring. We have one cute little RV right behind our main building and part of our Wilderness Campground. You will have a very peaceful and cozy stay when you book the RV. The picnic area is right outside your door and has plenty of space to hang out. Several picnic tables, trash cans and BBQ pits. We have a shower house with 3 showers and 2 toilets in the mens and womens restrooms. Our Picnic area has picnic tables and BBQ pits for your use. We do recommend for you to bring your own trash bags and toilet paper as these items run out fast and we do not have anyone on staff full time to oversee the facilities. We do try to keep a close eye on it but sometimes we just can not because we are busy with other ministry happenings. We also ask that you keep the place clean and tidy. Cleaning up after yourself helps insure that the next camper is happy as well.



The Wilderness Campground

The previous owner had plans to turn our property into a 42 site row by row RV Park. Once we saw the beauty of the property, we knew we had to keep it as wild and pristine as possible. On 6.5 acres the perfect number of sites was 19.

Buck Acres is technically not even an RV park, we just wanted to share our property with our fellow travelers so we added some gravel, and provide full 50/30/20A plug-ins and water we use Hip Camp and The Dyrt for bookings.

Buck Acres really is "close to everything but away from it all", still being close to city amenities, including Lake Conroe. Less than 1 mile to April Sound and the largest marina on Lake Conroe, 8 minutes to Wal-Mart, but peaceful and quiet on our forested property.

As full-time RV nomads ourselves we know RV park rates are getting crazy, this is our way of trying to help the community. We've done everything we can to keep rates down. The only amenities we offer are Wi-Fi, electricity, water, and an ADA porta john that is cleaned every week.

Affordable RV parks shouldn't be sweltering hot parking lots where you're packed in like sardines! At Buck Acres we have 100' tall hardwoods and pines that have been trimmed up 60' for the safety of you and your rig! Please be aware falling limbs are still a hazard, but we have the property trimmed professionally every year.

Buck Acres is still under construction and it is a labor of love. All proceeds go immediately back into the park (We have six electric/water sites fully functional)

We do have caretakers on the property 24/7 for any urgent needs and will sometimes have fun activities going on the back of the property that our visitors are welcome to join in (bonfires and such), but since the campsites are at the front of the property, it will not disturb the guests and will not go on beyond quiet hours (10pm and 6am). Northlake RV Resort

We are primarily a Permaculture learning lab and living center on 55 acres of land in the Sam Houston Forest in Evergreen, Texas. Camping fees help us meet new people and pay our expense and improvement costs. We try to keep our camping sites in tree stands to keep the look and feel of pure nature as much as possible. There is currently 5 sites. We are slowly developing new primitive sites. There is a pond on the property. The hike to the pond is a fairly easy trail. There are some open areas for riding your bikes and ATVs. There are many brushy areas for exploring. If you make it to the back of the property(bring your compass), there is a shallow creek year around. Bring your walking sticks, bikes, ATVs, fishing poles and bait, life jackets, canoe, kayak, raft, paddles. Off-grid primitive camping is available year around. Costs are$20 per night with your own off-grid camping equipment and $80 per night to rent our equipment. Tent setup is on the forest floor. We grow and regenerate the soil using organic principles. Please only apply bug spray at your campsite). City water is available to fill RV water tanks and containers near the Host shed. Hot water is available in your container upon request. There is an open outdoor restroom and shower for public use available at the back of the shed. We suggest a mosquito net for outdoor open sleeping. We suggest the following items be brought to make your experience more enjoyable: shower shoes, long sleeves, long pants, a hat, extra socks and close-toed shoes(rubber boots are nice), a rain coat, a compass, and walking sticks. In WINTER months we suggest clean loose fitting night time only socks, warm pajamas, and extra top sheet and blanket, a small foot blanket for inside your bedding, rubber boots, a warm hat and scarf and warm gloves. We will provide a portable potty for every 3 people and a fire ring. At the end of your stay, we will pickup any bagged and tied trash you leave and properly dispose of your human waste. A charcoal grill is available for use at no charge upon request on a first come first serve basis. Activities included as part of your camping fees include a group evening farm tour and/or trip to the pond upon request, access to pond activities, fishing without a license, hiking and exploring the property, bike rides on trails on your bikes. Youth archery upon request. As we get our tree guilds setup, any available fresh produce will be available for you to pick and eat during your camping stay.
